Denver Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam played 37 out of 70 snaps in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs - most among the team's tight ends and his most since Week 2. "I have been in Albert O's ear all week long because I think he is a highly talented individual. I haven't seen him much on the field this year, and I'm just curious as to why that was because he is a good-looking athlete," interim head coach Jerry Rosburg said.
Huddle Up: One of the biggest failings of the short-lived Nathaniel Hackett era in Denver may end up being how quickly he soured on Okwuegbunam. Hackett's lack of trust in Okwuegbunam as a blocker is reportedly why it happened, but there are only so many 258-pound men in the world capable of running a sub-4.5 as he did at the 2020 NFL Combine. With Greg Dulcich (hamstring) done for the year - which led to Okwuegbunam getting his chance and posting a 3-45-1 line in Week 17 - Albert O. should be considered a solid tight end streamer in Week 18.

Denver Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam could open the season as the No. 1 tight end, and TE Greg Dulcich could take over by midseason. TE Eric Tomlinson will also mix in as the blocking tight end.

Huddle Up: The team is high on both Okwuegbunam and Dulcich, but performance will dictate who is where. Both are TE2 flyers in fantasy.

Denver Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam is expected to play more of a 'move tight end' and 'hybrid receiver/tight end role' on offense in 2022, according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who added he is 'excited to get the ball in (Okwuegbunam's) hands.'

Huddle Up: This is not an unexpected comment from Hackett as Okwuegbunam was the big reason why Denver was probably willing to part with Noah Fant in the Russell Wilson trade. How Albert O. slots into the passing game after Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy is another story, but it seems realistic to project an average of five to seven targets for him. If Okwuegbunam is on the high end of that and Wilson continues to rely heavily on his tight ends in the red zone, then Albert O. could easily end up being a very good fantasy TE1 option.

Denver Broncos WR Albert Okwuegbunam posted three catches for a team-high 58 yards in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Okwuegbunam did a decent job in this one, but he isn't someone to worry about for fantasy purposes outside of deeper leagues. The Broncos travel to meet the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16.
