Chicago Bears WR Chase Claypool will make his debut with the team in Week 9 but will have a limited role, head coach Matt Eberflus said on Friday, Nov. 4.
Huddle Up: This was to be expected after Claypool landed in Chicago at the trade deadline. Claypool was barely on the flex radar in Pittsburgh, but perhaps things will get better with the Bears. We'll need to see it first before re-inserting him into lineups, though. Keep him on the bench this week.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Chase Claypool was traded to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2023 second-round draft pick Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Huddle Up: The second-round pick is reportedly the Bears' original pick and not the one they acquired in the Roquan Smith trade on Monday. With Claypool headed to the NFC North, it frees up six-plus targets per game to be distributed among Diontae Johnson, George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth. Expect Pickens to benefit the most from his absence. The Steelers will likely turn to Miles Boykin and Steven Sims to replace Claypool, although both are longshots to be relevant in fantasy.

Huddle Up: The second-round pick is reportedly the Bears' original pick and not the one they acquired in the Roquan Smith trade on Monday. Claypool gives Chicago a strong complement to go with Darnell Mooney and should give Justin Fields more of a chance to thrive as a passer than he had over the first eight weeks of the season. It is hard to imagine this is the landing spot fantasy managers wanted for Claypool, as the Bears are unlikely to provide enough volume for him to become a regular fantasy starter.
