Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet (forearm) said he suffered a fractured forearm during the regular season finale but does not need surgery. He said he will be fine for the start of offseason workouts.
Huddle Up: Kmet was an important part of the passing game this past season and should continue to have a big role next season especially if the Bears have a rookie quarterback. Kmet can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 5, but is listed as questionable for Week 18.

Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet (knee) was upgraded to a limited practice on Thursday, Jan. 4.
Huddle Up: Thursday's limited practice is a slight improvement over last week, as he registered two DNPs before getting in a limited session on Friday. He was limited to 13 offensive snaps in Chicago's Week 17 win. Expect Kmet to handle more work than that this weekend, but it seems clear he isn't close to 100 percent, making him difficult to trust in DFS or Week 18 league championship games.

Chicago Bears QB Tyson Bagent (illness), DB Jaylon Johnson (shoulder), LS Patrick Scales (foot) and WR Darnell Mooney (concussion) did not practice on Thursday, Jan. 4. TE Cole Kmet (knee), RB Khalil Herbert (back) and WR DJ Moore (ankle) were limited.

Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet (knee) did not take part in practice on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Kmet started off last week the same way before suiting up, although he only played 13 snaps and posted a bagel for fantasy owners. As a result, Kmet, who is typically a borderline TE1, will be a risky play if he suits up.
