Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love's one-year contract extension is worth up to $24.8 million. It includes $15.3 million in total guarantees and a signing bonus of $8.8 million. His 2023 base salary ($1.01 million) and 2024 base salary ($5.5 million) are fully guaranteed. Love has $9 million in escalators based on performance in 2023 and a $500,000 workout bonus in 2024.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love signed a one-year extension Tuesday, May 2, that can be worth up to $22.5 million with $13.5 million guaranteed. The deal replaces a fifth-year option that would be worth around $20 million.
Huddle Up: Love will be a big unknown going into this year's drafts, and taking him any higher than a solid backup presents risk and reward possibilities.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love received some praise from general manager Brian Gutekunst, who expressed excitement for the 2020 first-round pick. "We're excited about him," Gutekunst said on Tuesday, Feb. 28. "I've expressed to a lot of people that he needs to play. That's the next step in his progression. Jordan's done a great job, worked really hard so he's doing everything we're asking."
Huddle Up: Gutekunst also revealed there was nothing new on the Aaron Rodgers front, so the Packers remain in neutral. Love's future in Green Bay depends upon what Rodgers does, and there's a chance he gets dealt if the veteran sticks around. No matter where he lands, Love remains an intriguing player in 2023, as the young signal-caller has some upside thanks to his ability to run, but the jury is still very much out on him overall. Regardless, Love should be rostered in dynasty formats.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love is ready to be the starting quarterback for the Packers if QB Aaron Rodgers does not return, according to RB Aaron Jones.
Huddle Up: Love has received limited playing time since entering the NFL and posted 195 yards and one touchdown in four games this season. Fantasy players likely will need to see Love play well before considering him a starting option in leagues.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love has the faith of the team's general manager, Brian Gutekunst, who said he believes Love is ready to be a starting quarterback. "I do," Gutekunst said on Monday, Dec. 5.
Huddle Up: After oddly being taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Love has been stuck behind future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers for three seasons now, leaving fantasy managers who took him in dynasty leagues frustrated. However, it makes sense to keep holding, as it's still possible he'll pan out, and Love offers upside thanks to his ability to run. Adding to that, the Packers could also opt to trade Love next offseason if they decide to stick with Rodgers. It would make sense for the Packers to give Love an extended look now that their season is all but over in order to see what they have, but Rodgers may not be accommodating to that. Patience is a virtue, and for fantasy owners in dynasty formats who have stuck with Love all this time, hopefully it pays off down the road.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love completed 6-of-9 passes for 113 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, entering in the second half after QB Aaron Rodgers (oblique) was injured.
Huddle Up: The Packers slipped to 4-8, and Rodgers already entered with a fractured thumb. If the Packers feel they're out of the playoff hunt, they could make Love the starter for the remainder of the season, although that's just speculation at the moment. Although, when Rodgers has been hurt in the past, and the team is out of contention, we have seen it before. If Love is available, he might be worth scooping up as a QB2 in deeper fantasy leagues.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love threw three interceptions in the preseason-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, Aug. 12. However, head coach Matt LaFleur pointed out they weren't really his fault. "Basically two were drops and on the other one we had two receivers run the wrong routes," LaFleur said after the game.

Huddle Up: Love was solid otherwise, completing 13-of-24 passes for 176 yards and two scores. He appears to be moving in the right direction, but remains stuck behind Aaron Rodgers for the foreseeable future.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love received praise from head coach Matt LaFleur, who said he's impressed with Love's progress, especially of late. "Jordan, it's been pretty impressive what he's been able to put together the last few practices," LaFleur said on Friday, Aug. 5. "We need him to continue to grow each and every day."

Huddle Up: Positive developments have been hard to come by during Love's career, so this is welcomed news. He'll get more chances to keep the momentum going in the preseason, where he's expected to get the majority of snaps. All that said, he won't take over under center in 2022 unless there's an injury to Aaron Rodgers or Love gets traded.

The Green Bay Packers will likely carry two quarterbacks -- QBs Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love -- on their roster once again in 2022, The Athletic's Matt Schneidman speculates.

Huddle Up: Love will once again be the primary backup to Rodgers, but his future beyond that will hinge on if the veteran signal-caller retires. The Packers will have to make a decision on Love's fifth-year option in 2023, also. The 2020 first-round pick is barely hanging on as a bench stash in dynasty formats.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love could bring back a second-round pick in a trade, according to multiple NFL scouts via Senior Bowl executive director (and former scout) Jim Nagy.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: With Aaron Rodgers reportedly agreeing to a four-year contract in the neighborhood of $200 million, Love isn't going to see the field for any length of time again - barring a significant injury to Rodgers - before his rookie contract expires at the end of the 2023 season. This is probably the year for Green Bay to test Love's market, as the free-agent class is uninspiring and the draft class does not boast a true blue-chip prospect. Expect the Denver Broncos to show some interest if new head coach (and former Packers offensive coordinator) Nathaniel Hackett liked working with Love in Green Bay.
