Free-agent QB Joe Flacco (Bengals) still has interest from the Cincinnati Bengals despite signing QB Josh Johnson in free agency, in the opinion of Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com on Saturday, March 14.
Huddle Up: The well-traveled Flacco enters his 19th NFL season, but it looks as though it will be in a backup capacity. After being acquired by the Bengals, Flacco started six games for Cincinnati in 2025, posting a solid 13:4 touchdown-to-interception ratio despite a 1-5 record. If Flacco gets a start for any NFL team, he'll be in the streaming conversation for fantasy football in 2026.

Free-agent quarterback Josh Johnson (Commanders) has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals on a one-year contract on Saturday, March 14.
Huddle Up: Johnson will be 40 years old for the 2026 NFL season and this signing marks his third stint with the Bengals in his career. He's not fantasy relevant, but Johnson could be Joe Burrow's backup quarterback in Cincinnati for the upcoming season.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson completed 14-of-22 passes for 131 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles, while running nine times for 45 yards and a TD.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson will start Week 18's game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huddle Up: Johnson went 15-for-23 for 198 passing yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, along with 10 rushing yards, in his last start versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17. He is receiving the starting nod again for the regular-season finale after both Jayden Daniels (elbow) and Marcus Mariota (hand, quadriceps) were ruled out but should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson went 15-for-23 for 198 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17. He also rushed for 10 yards on two carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation next week to see if Johnson will receive another start or if Marcus Mariota will be able to return from injury. Fantasy players can avoid Johnson if he starts in Week 18.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson will start against the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Dec. 25, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Huddle Up: Marcus Mariota had some upside because of his legs, but Johnson has zero fantasy appeal.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson could start in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys with QBs Jayden Daniels (elbow) and Marcus Mariota (hand, quadriceps) nursing various injuries. He has gotten "a lion's share" of the reps in practice, head coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday, Dec. 23, and he might start his first NFL game since 2021.
Huddle Up: Johnson is obviously not somebody to target in the championship week for a majority of fantasy leagues, but he could be a sneaky DFS play with a favorable matchup against a Dallas Cowboys passing defense which has been leaky all season.

Washington Commanders QB Josh Johnson replaced QB Marcus Mariota (hand, head) during the Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He completed five of his nine passes for 43 yards and an interception in a 29-18 loss.
Huddle Up: It is never an ideal situation when the third-string quarterback is forced into action, but that is the scenario that Washington found itself in Saturday. Johnson would likely remain the starter if Mariota misses time, but Johnson doesn't need to be on the radar of fantasy owners.
