Free-agent RB Melvin Gordon (Broncos) was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Huddle Up: With Clyde Edwards-Helaire on IR, there's a scenario where Gordon might get some chances with the Chiefs, but he was terrible with the Broncos before being cut and Isiah Pacheco looks solidified as the lead back in Kansas City for now. Gordon is barely worth a speculative hold if you have the space on your roster and/or have Pacheco, but a lot would have to happen for him to return any kind of value.

Free-agent RB Melvin Gordon (Chiefs) is expected to join the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad in the near future, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Assuming this happens, Gordon will likely join forces with Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon and serve in the same role Clyde Edwards-Helaire had before going on IR once he joins the active roster. Then again, an established back like Gordon might push one of those two backs aside. There is rarely enough volume for running backs in the Kansas City offense to make two backs viable in fantasy, but Gordon could be a decent flex option at some point during the fantasy playoffs if he learns the playbook quickly enough.

Free-agent RB Melvin Gordon (Broncos) said he has received interest from multiple teams. He said a few playoff teams are interested in signing him to their practice squad so he can learn the playbook for a few weeks.
Huddle Up: Gordon will not be able to find a starting job but could find a role with a team for the rest of the season. He probably will not be a weekly fantasy option but could be a possible flex option in some leagues depending on his role.

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon cleared waivers and became a free agent on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon was waived Monday, Nov. 21.
Huddle Up: The Broncos were committed to giving Gordon touches early in the season at the expense of Javonte Williams, but the new regime seemed to quickly tire of him. His ball security issues were the main culprit, which is what led to him being benched in Week 11 and, ultimately, his departure. With Chase Edmonds (knee) getting hurt early Sunday, Denver could be down to Latavius Murray, Marlon Mack and practice-squader Devine Ozigbo until Mike Boone (ankle) possibly returns from IR in Week 13. Murray could be featured in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers and should be considered a decent flex play.

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon rushed seven times for 24 yards and caught four of his six targets for 46 yards in a 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 10.

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon is expected to hold onto his gig as the starting running back, according to general manager George Paton.
Huddle Up: The fact that the Broncos continue to add players to the running back room is a clear indication that Denver has no intention of committing to Gordon, however, as Chase Edmonds joined the club on Tuesday. It is quite possible the Broncos want him to replace what they had in Mike Boone. Latavius Murray appeared to be the team's primary runner in Week 8 and Gordon appeared to be the favored option in Week 7. Fantasy managers can safely ignore all three options in all but the deepest of leagues.
