Indianapolis Colts RB Trey Sermon did not have a carry in Week 8 against the Houston Texans, and he had a single 14-yard catch on one target.
Huddle Up: With Jonathan Taylor back from a month-long injury, and the tailback front and center in the offense, Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson were back to afterthoughts. If you picked up Sermon when Taylor was sidelined, you can safely drop him in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Trey Sermon ended up with eight runs for just 36 yards in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins, while adding a 13-yard reception on his only target.
Huddle Up: Sermon blew his chance at the first crack of the bulk of the carries last week, with Tyler Goodson surpassing him. Goodman did a decent job in Week 7, so even if Jonathan Taylor remains sidelined due to injury, Sermon's fantasy ceiling remains rather limited.

Indianapolis Colts RB Trey Sermon (knee) practiced in full on Friday, Oct. 18, after being limited the day before and was removed from the injury report.
Huddle Up: Sermon is once again in line to lead the Colts' backfield with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) ruled out again, although Tyler Goodson will also be involved and could take over entirely after outperforming Sermon last week. Because of his expected volume, Sermon is a flex option, but he's a shaky one because of the uncertainty of the situation.

Also, OT Braden Smith (knee), WR Michael Pittman Jr. (back) and DE Dayo Odeyingbo (hamstring) did not practice and are questionable, WR Alec Pierce (shoulder) and LB E.J. Speed (knee) practiced in full but are questionable, WR Josh Downs (toe) was limited and is questionable, DT Grover Stewart (rest) did not practice but carries no designation and C Ryan Kelly (calf), QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) and RB Trey Sermon (knee) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

Huddle Up: The upgrade in participation gives Sermon a shot to suit up, but we'll have to see what he does on Friday. With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) looking set to sit out again this week, Sermon is a volume-based flex option if he plays and Taylor doesn't.

Huddle Up: Sermon has been filling in as the starter for the last few weeks but may be in danger if missing the Week 7 game. He can be at least a flex option if he is cleared to play, but fantasy players will need other options ready in case he sits out.

Indianapolis Colts RB Trey Sermon (knee) is dealing with an unspecified knee injury, head coach Shane Steichen revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Huddle Up: Sermon's knee issue now leaves his status for Week 7 up in the air. He was handling the majority of the work with Jonathan Taylor out, but if Sermon and Taylor both sit this Sunday, Tyler Goodson would likely take over lead-back duties and would be a solid flex option. Goodson had eight carries for 51 yards and four receptions for 14 yards in Week 6.
