Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has been the subject of trade calls this offseason. A trade couldn't happen before June 1, but it could happen this offseason.
Huddle Up: Jones has a ton of mileage and leg injuries in his decorated career. However, he's still a WR1 in PPR leagues but could have upside in a better offense.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) on Friday, Jan. 1, was ruled out of the team's Week 17 game Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: No surprise as Jones was unable to shake the hammy issue down the stretch, missing five of the Falcons' final six games. In all, Jones will have played in nine games, his second-lowest total in his 10 seasons. It's certainly time to wonder if the soon-to-be-32-year-old's body is signaling the end of his elite WR1 days.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Jones has missed the last few games and appears unlikely to play in the finale. Fantasy players can check on his status later in the week but should look for other options and keep Jones on the bench.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Huddle Up: It's peculiar a player of Jones' caliber hasn't been shut down for the season with the Falcons long-eliminated from the postseason, but the team's reportedly optimistic he'll be able to play in Week 17. He'll be a top fantasy option despite the prolonged absence with the Buccaneers likely to rest key starters on the other side.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) worked out 'a little bit' on Monday, Dec. 28, according to interim head coach Raheem Morris, who added the team will wait 'until he is right' but also said 'if (Jones) is able to (play in Week 17), he will.'
Huddle Up: The return of Jones isn't going to help the majority of fantasy owners whose league titles were decided in Week 16, but it could obviously play a huge role in leagues with Week 17 championships. It is still more probable than not Jones sits in a meaningless game next week, but there is also no reason for him to sit if his three weeks away was just what the doctor ordered for his ailing hamstring. Jones is always a strong WR1 play, so he needs to be started in fantasy if he is active against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Updating previous reports, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) was ruled out Friday, Dec. 25, for Week 16's game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs to be played Sunday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: While this is not exactly the Christmas gift fantasy gamers wanted, it comes as no surprise with nothing at stake for Atlanta ... Julio's absence means more work for WR Russell Gage and, of course, WR Calvin Ridley. It also caps QB Matt Ryan as a low-end starting consideration in deeper leagues.
