Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green said it's 'fair' to question if his chemistry with QB Kyler Murray was off last season. The veteran took the blame for communication issues with his quarterback. 'There is a lot of room (for growth),' Green said. 'For me, it's communicating with him what I see, and what he wants me to do and how he wants me to run this (particular) route. I think last year there was a lacking on my part. I didn't really communicate with him about stuff like that because I didn't want to put a lot of stuff on his plate.'
Huddle Up: Despite shaky chemistry with Murray, Green still managed to post his best season since 2017, albeit with DeAndre Hopkins mostly on the shelf. Assuming Murray stays in the desert, improved chemistry with Green could lead to him flirting with a 1,000-yard season if he can stay healthy, which is always a concern. For now, he's a WR3.

Free-agent WR A.J. Green (Cardinals) agreed to terms on a one-year contract to return to the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, April 14. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Huddle Up: Turning 34 shortly after the start of training camp this summer, Green is unquestionably on the back nine of his career. However, the departure of Christian Kirk likely keeps him firmly in the WR4/5 conversation for fantasy managers - at least until the Cardinals potentially draft his replacement at the end of the month. If the Cardinals don't spend a Day 1 or Day 2 pick on a receiver, Green is a good bet to see close to 100 targets again.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray completed 19-of-34 passes for 137 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the NFC wild-card game loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Jan. 17. RB Chase Edmonds rushed eight times for a team-high 28 yards, while RB James Conner rushed four times for 19 yards and a touchdown while adding one grab for five yards. WR Christian Kirk led the way with 51 yards on six receptions and 10 targets, while WR Rondale Moore chipped in with five grabs for 32 yards. RB Eno Benjamin ran four times for seven yards, while contributing two catches and 26 yards, TE Zach Ertz had three grabs for 21 yards and WR A.J. Green was blanked on three targets.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray completed 28-of-39 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown while running for 35 yards in Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks. RB James Conner finished with 93 total scrimmage yards and two scores before departing with a rib injury. RB Eno Benjamin filled in with seven runs for 31 yards and four receptions for 25 yards, while TE Zach Ertz had a game-high 84 yards on seven catches with 10 targets, WR Christian Kirk added two catches for 43 yards and WR A.J. Green was good for four catches and 23 yards.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green hauled in three of six targets for 74 yards in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Huddle Up: Green did most of his damage on a 43-yard catch on Arizona's fifth offensive play to set his team up for a score and saw half of his targets on the opening drive, but he wasn't heard from much after that. The 33-year-old has shown occasional upside in great matchups but has been a borderline fantasy starter at best most weeks. That is where he figures to remain in Week 18 versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green caught one of his three targets for 33 yards in a 22-16 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16.
Huddle Up: Green played a minor roll in the passing attack despite DeAndre Hopkins being sidelined, and it appears that Christian Kirk and Zach Ertz may be the main beneficiaries of Hopkins' absence.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green caught four passes for 64 yards against the Detroit Lions in Week 15. He was targeted eight times during the game.
Huddle Up: Green has been targeted at least seven times in three of the last four games and has posted at least 60 yards in all three of those games. He should receive a similar workload next week and can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in leagues.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green registered seven catches for 102 yards on 10 targets in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams. He reached 10,000 receiving yards in the game.
Huddle Up: Green registered his second 100-yard game of the season, and the seven receptions were his most this season. He has managed three or more grabs in five of the past seven outings, and he is a nice WR4 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues of 12 or more teams. The Cardinals travel to meet the Detroit Lions in Week 15.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green caught his only target for 14 yards in a 33-22 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 13.
Huddle Up: Considering the Cardinals only attempted 15 passes, fantasy owners shouldn't read too much into Green's quiet outing. He should have a bigger role in Week 14 when he faces the Rams. Green finished with five catches for 67 yards and a score in the first meeting between the NFC West rivals this year.

Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green caught four of his seven targets for 78 yards in Week 11 versus the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Green was limited to a single four-yard catch in his first game back from a short stint on the COVID list last week. His production in this contest has become fairly standard this year for Green, who has not exceeded five catches in any game and been held to less than 80 yards receiving in all but one outing. Even if/when Kyler Murray (ankle) returns following the team's Week 12 bye, Green will be little more than a decent WR3 option in fantasy.
