Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby's (knee) short-term health is believed to be good, but the Baltimore Ravens had questions about the long-term prognosis of his knee. Crosby's camp believes the Ravens had all the information before agreeing to the trade but got cold feet based on the two first-round pick compensation.

Updating previous reports, Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby will not be traded to the Baltimore Ravens, according to a statement from the Raiders on Tuesday, March 10. According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Ravens were not ready to assume the risk of Crosby's left knee after reviewing his medical report. Crosby underwent meniscus surgery on that knee after being placed on injured reserve on Dec. 27. It was reported on Friday, March 6, that Crosby was traded to Baltimore in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Baltimore Ravens DE Maxx Crosby had been strongly pursued by the Dallas Cowboys prior to the Las Vegas Raiders trading him to the Ravens Friday, March 6. However, the Cowboys were adamant that they did not want to part with two first-round draft picks in order to acquire Crosby, while the Ravens were willing to meet the Raiders' asking price.
