The Philadelphia Eagles may add to their running backs room before the start of the season, Adam Caplan of Inside The Birds speculates. "They need a guy with size. My sense is that they probably would bring someone in at some point in August if not by the start of camp. The problem with Jordan Howard is he has had neck issues, so you wonder about him. He's always on call. If they need to sign him, they'll sign him."
Huddle Up: Such a move could complicate things even further for an already sketchy situation at running back in Philly. Miles Sanders should still lead the backfield no matter what, but his injury history is a concern, as is the Eagles' tendency to mix in different backs (Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott) and use Jalen Hurts' legs. Especially after a lackluster season for Sanders, who remains a shaky RB2, this is a situation to avoid if possible.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 14, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.
Huddle Up: Sanders missed the last few games because of the injury but should see a decent amount of touches in the playoff game. He has posted at least 60 yards in four of his last five games and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) told reporters Friday, Jan. 14, that he 'absolutely' expects to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.
Huddle Up: Sanders plans to wear some protection on his hand but doesn't expect it to hinder his ability to catch passes. Philadelphia will have its hands full trying to run on the Tampa Bay defense, but the Eagles have proven they can run it well against even the best rush-stopping units. With that said, Sanders has scored no touchdowns this season. Faced with a tough matchup, some re-injury risk and the possibility of sharing carries with Jalen Hurts and Jordan Howard, Sanders does not boast a ton of fantasy upside this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) did not practice Tuesday, Jan. 4. The report is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Sanders faces a rather unfriendly matchup in Week 18 vs. the Dallas Cowboys. In the event he plays, which seems unlikely, he's a fringe flex option in fantasy leagues.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Miles Sanders (hand) likely will not be available for the Week 18 game but hopefully will be available for the playoffs, according to Nick Sirianni.
Huddle Up: Jordan Howard and Boston Scott are currently on the COVID-19 list, so fantasy players will need to check later in the week to see who will be available to play. Howard and Scott could be flex options if they are cleared to play.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 31, and has been ruled out for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Jordan Howard is next in line to receive most of the work at running back but he is questionable for the game. Howard can be a No. 2 running back or flex option if he is active, but Boston Scott would a starting option if both Sanders and Howard are sidelined.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) is dealing with a broken bone in his hand that will sideline him for at least Week 17 against the Washington Football Team, according to head coach Nick Sirianni, Per Sirianni, Sanders will not be placed on the Reserve/Injured list and the hope is that Sanders will be able to return at some point this season.
Huddle Up: With Sanders out for at least this coming weekend, the Eagles will turn to some combination of Jordan Howard, Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott to fill the void. Howard has seemingly emerged as Sirianni's favorite back outside of Sanders, so he is shaping up as a potential RB2 option this weekend despite how little work he receives in the passing game.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) broke a bone in his hand Sunday, Dec. 26, and will have tests Monday, Dec. 27, to determine if there's further damage and if he can play through it.
Huddle Up: If this is it for Sanders, he would wrap it up with 754 rushing yards and a 26-158-0 line through the air with no touchdowns on the year. Jordan Howard would be an RB2 in his spot with more emphasis in non-PPR.
