Indianapolis Colts QB Jacob Eason is expected to receive the bulk of snaps during training camp and the preseason after general manager Chris Ballard reportedly ruled out a trade for Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles, Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew, Las Vegas Raiders QB Marcus Mariota or any other veteran quarterback 'at this time.'

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles will be the No. 3 quarterback behind QB Andy Dalton and QB Justin Fields, according to head coach Matt Nagy.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles is guaranteed $4 million in 2021 and $5 million in 2022 on his current contract, making him difficult to move.
Huddle Up: Foles, who started seven games and played in two others last season before a hip injury cut his campaign short, but now he looks to be the third QB wheel in Chicago with the team signing free agent Andy Dalton and trading up to draft Justin Fields. Foles NFL starting days appear to be at an end, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Bears eating the rest of his contract and moving on with Dalton and Fields.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles could be the team's Week 1 starter under certain scenarios, in the opinion of The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain, who writes that one of them could be as a bridge to an early-round draft pick.
Huddle Up: Another scenario involves Foles outperforming another journeyman-type veteran in camp. Obviously these are something the Bears would hope to avoid, and even if Foles were somehow under center in Week 1 it seems dubious at best to think he'd hold the job for long.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles (hip) is expected to serve as the team's No. 2 quarterback for Week 13's game against the Detroit Lions.
Huddle Up: Foles had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging two full practice sessions and one limited session during the week. Mitchell Trubisky will serve as the team's starting quarterback for now and has enjoyed a great deal of success in his career versus the Lions, making him worthy of consideration as a streaming option in deeper fantasy formats or a QB2 option in two-quarterback leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Huddle Up: QB Mitchell Trubisky has already been named the Week 13 starter by head coach Matt Nagy. There's no reason to hold Foles in any format.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles (hip) has been declared inactive for the Week 12 game.
Huddle Up: Mitchell Trubisky will be the starting quarterback for the Bears this week but should be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 27, and is listed as doubtful for Week 12.
Huddle Up: Foles likely will miss at least a week because of the injury, so Mitchell Trubisky is in track to start in the Week 12 game. Fantasy players should avoid the Bears quarterback situation no matter who starts.

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) practiced in full for a second straight day Thursday, Nov. 26, and is expected to draw the start over Nick Foles in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers, according to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune.
Huddle Up: Foles has yet to practice this week, giving head coach Matt Nagy little choice under center. There is also speculation Trubisky will be given an opportunity to regain the job he lost in Week 3 on a permanent basis with Foles playing so poorly since his promotion. Trubisky theoretically offers more with his running ability, but Nagy has been hesitant to use it. It's a situation to avoid outside of two-quarterback and superflex leagues, and even then Trubisky should be considered a dicey QB2 start at best.

Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 26.
Huddle Up: Foles probably will need to practice Friday, Nov. 27, if he wants a chance to play. He has not had a lot of success over the last several weeks and can be avoided even if he starts in Week 12.
