Miami Dolphins QB Malik Willis is expected to be the centerpiece the team builds around, according to general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. "Bringing him in on a three-year deal was very important to us," Sullivan said. "It's going to give us the opportunity to put multiple draft classes around him and make some noise in free agency."
Huddle Up: Willis showed potential in spot duty with the Green Bay Packers last season after struggling with a similar barebones structure in Tennessee. The fantasy outlook isn't going to be great in 2026, but he could be a matchup play as a QB2 in fantasy.

Miami Dolphins QB Malik Willis is an "ascending player," according to general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. "One, it was important for us to get him on a three-year deal because we want to build around him," Sullivan said. "Two, this is not a band-aid."
Huddle Up: The Dolphins can talk about Willis being the answer at the quarterback position, but his play on the field will ultimately determine whether or not he is the long-term starter. Willis flashed some potential in a small sample last year, and he should be considered a QB2 with upside heading into 2026.

Free-agent QB Malik Willis (Packers) officially signed with the Miami Dolphins Thursday, March 12. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Willis should start right away for the Dolphins and is familiar with head coach Jeff Hafley since both are coming from the Green Bay Packers. He will likely be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues to start the season but could become more valuable as the season goes on.

Impending free-agent QB Malik Willis (Packers) agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Miami Dolphins Monday, March 9, worth $67.5 million, according to sources. The deal will include $45 million in guaranteed money.
Huddle Up: Head coach Jeff Hafley is familiar with Willis since they were both with the Packers last year, so Willis will be the starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He will have some good targets to throw to in 2026 but will probably be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in most leagues.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent QB Malik Willis is expected to be a target for the Cleveland Browns this offseason, according to The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Huddle Up: Willis will receive interest from several teams this offseason and is in line to be a starter for a team in 2026. He played well in his limited workload this past season but will probably only be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues no matter where he plays.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent QB Malik Willis is reportedly believed to be a favored target for the Miami Dolphins and new head coach Jeff Hafley, according to Tony Pauline of Essentially Sports on Monday, Feb. 23.
Huddle Up: Willis was pressed into duty for four games last season, starting one in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens. His lone start produced 288 passing yards and a touchdown on 18-of-21 passing, plus 60 rushing yards and two rushing scores. Plucked in the trade market following the 2024 preseason, Willis has been an excellent backup quarterback in the handful of times he's needed to come in, and that promise has intrigued several NFL franchises as Willis hits free agency in 2026 despite a small sample size of opportunities. For fantasy, it's the rushing production that draws eyes to Willis, as that has historically been what has separated average fantasy quarterbacks from the excellent ones. If Willis is signed as a starter in 2026, he'll be an immediate sleeper candidate for fantasy managers to take a flier on in drafts.

Free-agent QB Malik Willis (Packers) has been predicted by sources to sign with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason.
Huddle Up: Willis was great during Liberty's run in college, but he struggled in the league up to last season. The game seemed to slow down for him in Green Bay, and he will be an upside QB2 in fantasy if he lands a starting gig.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent QB Malik Willis could be pursued by the Arizona Cardinals in free agency if the Cardinals part ways with QB Kyler Murray, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Willis flashed some intriguing potential with his arm and his legs in limited action with Green Bay last season, but whether he is given a chance to show what he can do as a starter in 2026 remains to be seen. If Willis does land in Arizona, he would have some solid weapons at his disposal and would be worth a look as a high-upside QB2.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst acknowledges that the team is likely to lose QB Malik Willis in free agency. He cites that he will likely look for a team where he will be able to compete for a starting job.
Huddle Up: Willis has a chance to make an impact if he signs with a team looking to make a change at quarterback. His dual-threat ability makes him a fantasy option in 2026 with the right team as a QB1.
