Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson hauled in six of his eight targets for only 23 yards in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: Ferguson has been a high-volume target in most of the six games in which he has played this season (six or more catches in four of them), but this effort marks the third time this season in which he has been held below 25 yards receiving. The good news is Dak Prescott typically does a good job of keeping his primary tight end involved, so Ferguson's fantasy managers should not be overly concerned about him moving forward. The 25-year-old tight end will get to face an Atlanta Falcons defense in Week 9 that gave up 81 yards and two touchdowns to Cade Otton in Week 8.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson finished with three catches for 11 yards in a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
Huddle Up: Ferguson had his worst outing of the year, but overall, he has been Dallas' most reliable receiving threat not named CeeDee Lamb. Stick with Ferguson as a TE1 option.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson hauled in six of his seven targets for 70 yards in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: At a position severely lacking in consistency and upside, Ferguson is a rare bright spot. This performance marks the third straight week the 25-year-old caught at least six passes and the second time he piled up at least 70 yards. Perhaps more impressively, he has done this since suffering what was initially thought to be a multi-week knee injury in Week 1. Ferguson should remain in lineups in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson caught all seven of his targeted passes for 49 yards against the New York Giants on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Huddle Up: Ferguson was second to CeeDee Lamb (8) in targets, and he matched Lamb for team-high honors with the seven receptions. The third-year tight end is an integral part of Dallas' passing game, and in a year that has not been kind to tight ends around the league, Ferguson has delivered since returning from injury. He belongs in your lineup each week.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson finished with six receptions for a game-high 95 yards on 11 targets in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: Ferguson missed a game due to a knee injury, but he appears to be back to 100 percent. As such, Ferguson is a solid TE1 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 4 on Thursday against the New York Giants.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.
Huddle Up: Ferguson was not able to play in the last game but appears to be on track to play in Week 3. He is an important part of the passing game when healthy and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Dallas Cowboys WR Jalen Brooks (ankle), DT Mazi Smith (back) and TE John Stephens (hamstring) were limited in practice on Friday, Sept. 20, and are listed as questionable for Week 3 versus the Baltimore Ravens. CB Trevon Diggs (foot), TE Jake Ferguson (knee), S Malik Hooker (shoulder), DE Marshawn Kneeland (calf), WR CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and OG Zack Martin (rest) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report. WR Brandin Cooks (rest), LB Eric Kendricks (rest), DE DeMarcus Lawrence (rest), CB Jourdan Lewis (rest) and DE Tyrus Wheat (personal) were not given a practice designation on Friday but are expected to be available.

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Ferguson probably will be questionable for Week 3 but has a chance to be active for the game. Fantasy players can monitor the situation because he can be a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end if he plays.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (knee) practiced during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: It was almost certainly another limited practice for Ferguson, but it is a good sign for his potential Week 3 availability against the Baltimore Ravens that he is not backtracking in any way. Friday's practice report and subsequent game status announcement will loom large here, but it seems as though Ferguson is more likely than not to play. If he goes, he is worth using as a low-end TE1. If he doesn't, Luke Schoonmaker showed in Week 2 that he can be a serviceable replacement.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Huddle Up: Ferguson appears to have a chance to play in Week 3, but fantasy players will know more about his status in a few days. He is a big part of the passing game when healthy and can be a starting fantasy option if he is active.
