Impending free-agent TE Cade Otton (Buccaneers) agrees to a deal to re-sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source on Monday, March 9. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Otton has been an every-down tight end for the Buccaneers over the last few seasons, and he'll remain with Tampa Bay after agreeing to terms on a new deal. With a 59-catch, 572-yard campaign in 2025, Otton's fantasy production has largely come when some of the Buccaneers' stars have been hurt. Otton tends to fade into the background at times, but ultimately, he's a low-ceiling TE2 for fantasy football in 2026 as he remains with the Buccaneers.

Huddle Up: Otton's production has fluctuated from one game to the next in Tampa Bay, but when injuries have thrust him into a bigger role, he has flashed his upside. If he lands in a offense that features him more consistently, Otton could be in the TE1 mix in deeper leagues in 2026.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cade Otton caught seven of his nine targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in a 16-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: Otton had become a forgotten man in the offense in recent weeks, but in a must-win game, he led the team in catches, targets and receiving yards. Otton has flashed TE1 upside at times this year, but a lack of consistency makes him more of a streaming option than a weekly starter.

Huddle Up: Otton recorded his most receiving yards since Week 10, and while he is a safe bet for a couple of catches per game, the yardage totals typically leave a lot to be desired. Throw in the fact that Tampa Bay's receiving corps is now at full strength, and Otton is a low-end TE2.

Huddle Up: Otton is on track to return to the lineup after missing some time because of the injury. He has been held to under 30 yards in each of his last four games and likely can be avoided in fantasy leagues.
