Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) was given the day off and did not practice Friday, Aug. 7.
Huddle Up: The Packers opted to give Tucker some extra rest as he works his way back from the knee injury that ended his 2025 season prematurely. Kraft had emerged as one of the better tight ends prior to going down, and he should be back in the thick of the TE1 conversation this year.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) expects to play in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, July 28. Schneidman also said, 'I wouldn't be surprised if he's the highest paid tight end in the league here in the next couple weeks.'
Huddle Up: Kraft was one of the most efficient tight ends in the NFL before a season-ending knee injury at midseason derailed his breakout. With Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks out of Green Bay, the condensed pass-catching room sees Kraft as a top-two target on the Packers when healthy. Kraft will likely be a top-six pick at the position in the middle rounds, but in tight end premium formats that emphasize receptions, Kraft goes down to a top-10 tight end.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) would not say whether he will be on the field when training camp begins.
Huddle Up: Kraft was on his way to a career year when he went down with a knee injury, and while he has said he expects to be ready for Week 1, it would go a long way to easing concerns if he is able to participate in training camp. Assuming he is healthy, Kraft has definite TE1 potential.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft and the Packers may get a 'lucrative extension' done before the season as both sides have stated their desire to go forward together, in the opinion of Rob Demovsky on Tuesday, June 30.
Huddle Up: Kraft was on his way toward a breakout season before a Week 9 ACL injury derailed that trajectory in the short term. It remains to be seen if Kraft is ready for Week 1 in 2026, but he's one of the most productive and efficient tight ends in fantasy football. He's easily a top-eight tight end for fantasy and should be a locked-in starter when healthy.
