Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey is expected to head up the backfield in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 25, against the New England Patriots. RBs Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie are expected to be the backups, as RB J.K. Dobbins (foot) was just not yet ready to return.
Huddle Up: It's a difficult matchup for Harvey and the Broncos tailbacks, as the Patriots allowed just 1,729 rushing yards this season, with 4.2 yards per carry, 11 rushing touchdowns and just nine runs of 20 or more yards, and a single run of 40+ yards. For those in postseason fantasy leagues and DFS, he is simply a mid-tier back for Sunday's matchup, which should be dominated by defense.

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix completed 26 of his 46 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 33-30 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. He also rushed 12 times for a team-high 29 yards. RB RJ Harvey finished with 20 rushing yards on six carries and caught five passes for 46 yards, and RB Jaleel McLaughlin gained 21 yards on four carries. WR Marvin Mims caught a touchdown while leading the team with both eight receptions and 93 receiving yards. WR Courtland Sutton finished with 53 yards on four receptions, and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught two passes for 33 yards and a score. WR Pat Bryant (concussion) had three receptions for 32 yards before exiting the game, and TE Evan Engram caught one pass for seven yards. OT Frank Crum chipped in a seven-yard touchdown catch. On the defensive side of the ball, LB Alex Singleton led the way with a team-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops. S Talanoa Hufanga had 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and forced a fumble. S P.J. Locke had nine tackles and an interception, and DE Malcolm Roach had five tackles, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits.

Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin rushed six times for 41 yards and caught one pass for 17 yards in a 19-3 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: McLaughlin was efficient with his touches, but he continues to be the clear backup to RJ Harvey. He will be a handcuff to Harvey in playoff contests.

Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin rushed seven times for 40 yards in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs, while he was not targeted in the passing game.
Huddle Up: McLaughlin had half the work of rookie RJ Harvey, who rushed 14 times for 43 yards. However, McLaughlin averaged 5.7 yards per carry (YPC), while Harvey had 3.1 YPC. McLaughlin isn't likely to push Harvey for backfield touches, especially heading into the playoffs, as Harvey is a good pass-catcher out of the backfield. But, it wouldn't be surprising to see McLaughlin bump up to double-digit carries if he outpaces Harvey in average yards per touch again in Week 18. Watch the situation closely.

Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin rushed for 37 yards on five carries in a 34-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16.
Huddle Up: McLaughlin continues to see a handful of carries per game as the primary backup, but with almost no involvement in the passing game, he is only a handcuff for fantasy purposes.

Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin had two carries for four yards in a 34-26 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
Huddle Up: McLaughlin has been the clear backup to RJ Harvey, and Harvey's role has only been increasing. That being said, Harvey did exit late with a rib injury, so if the injury is serious, McLaughlin could find himself leading the rushing attack. At the very least, he is worth an add if available while Harvey's status is determined.
