Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks' two-year, $39.7 million contract extension will lead to his making $53.5 million over the next three years. Cooks has a per-game active roster bonus of $29,411, up to $500,000 annually, and 16 undisclosed incentives he is likely to earn. He also has a $3 million roster bonus due on the fifth day of the 2024 league year, according to Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson. The Texans can get out of Cooks' contract in 2024, which would incur a dead-cap charge of $7.8 million.

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks 'brings a certain level of paranoia' for opposing defenses, according to offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton. 'That's going to open up the opportunity for us to balance out our attack,' Hamilton said.
Huddle Up: Although Houston lacks a proven quarterback, Cooks managed 90 catches for more than 1,000 yards last year and will undoubtedly be the go-to weapon for the passing attack again in 2022. He carries some injury concerns, but Cooks could finish as a low-end WR2.

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks received a two-year, $39.6 million extension Friday, April 8, with $36 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Cooks was 21st in PPR fantasy points among WRs last year without a quarterback. He has always had hamstring and soft tissue issues through his career, but that's a statement season. He'll be a slept-on WR2/WR3 option in fantasy.

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks has received trade interest from the Cleveland Browns but a trade seems unlikely in part because of the believed asking price of a second-round draft choice, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Browns added Amari Cooper this offseason but are looking to add another starting receiver. It seems like Cooks will remain with the Texans for now and should be at least a No. 3 fantasy receiver in 2022 no matter where he plays.

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 18 game and is considered questionable to return.
Huddle Up: Cooks was one of the few bright spots for the Texans this season and was a reliable weekly option for fantasy players. He should be a solid value in fantasy leagues next season.

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks has 1,011 receiving yards this season, giving him six seasons with 1,000-plus yards in his eight years in the league.
Huddle Up: Cooks has been one of the few bright spots for the Texans this season, and he has delivered at least one 1,000-yard campaign for all four teams he has played for in his career. Wherever he ends up in 2022, Cooks should at least be a WR3.
