New Orleans Saints QB Jake Haener relieved a mostly ineffective Spencer Rattler in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers and finished 9-of-17 for 122 yards. Haener did not throw for a touchdown or an interception and ran for 10 yards on two carries.
Huddle Up: Not much needs to be said here. Neither quarterback (Rattler or Haener) has been able to move the ball with much consistency since Derek Carr (oblique) got hurt in Week 5. Carr should be ready to return in Week 9 versus the Carolina Panthers, who the Saints trounced 47-10 in Week 1. Neither Rattler nor Haener should be on most fantasy rosters.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler completed 12-of-24 passes for 156 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers before getting benched in the second half in favor of QB Jake Haener.
Huddle Up: Rattler wasn't really a viable fantasy option outside of deeper leagues using two starting signal callers, and even then, on a full week with no teams on a bye, it was a stretch to start the rookie. You can drop him in all leagues if you were hanging onto Rattler for some reason.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.
Huddle Up: Rattler threw for only 172 yards in the last game and has thrown one touchdown and two interceptions in his two starts. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints OG Nick Saldiveri (shoulder) and WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and have been ruled out for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. QB Derek Carr (oblique) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. RB Alvin Kamara (hand, rib) and TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) were limited in practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), OL Lucas Patrick (chest), LB Pete Werner (hamstring), C Connor McGovern (back), WR Chris Olave (concussion), DT Khalen Saunders (back), TE Taysom Hill (rib), CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) and QB Spencer Rattler (hip) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Huddle Up: Rattler is expected to be the starter again this week and will be looking to improve his numbers from last week. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler (hip) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Huddle Up: Rattler struggled during the Week 7 game but is on track to receive another start. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (oblique) had a throwing session Monday, Oct. 21, and will have another Tuesday, head coach Dennis Allen said. If Carr cannot play, rookie QB Spencer Rattler will get the start in Week 8.
Huddle Up: Carr hasn't been very useful for fantasy, but his return would help Alvin Kamara, who is still a high-end RB2 without his starting quarterback.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler completed 25 of 35 passes for 172 yards, 0 TDs, and 0 INTs in a Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos. Rattler, who ran five times for 34 yards, also took six sacks and fumbled twice, losing both.
Huddle Up: Making just his second career start and minus his top two receivers, Rattler had the deck stacked against him. He made a few plays, but it wasn't nearly enough. He also looked to have gotten banged up late, leading to Jake Haener finishing out the game. The hope is that Derek Carr (oblique) will be ready to return in Week 8. If so, Rattler will head back to the bench. If not, the rookie could be called on to make a third straight start. Either way, Rattler carries zero fantasy appeal.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler completed 22-of-40 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he rushed four times for 27 yards in his first NFL start.
Huddle Up: Rattler wasn't great, and he lost Chris Olave early to a concussion which certainly didn't help. He might get a shot to start again if Derek Carr's oblique continues to sideline him, but Rattler isn't someone to consider for fantasy purposes.

New Orleans Saints QB Spencer Rattler will be the starting quarterback for the Saints in Week 6 with QB Derek Carr (oblique) unavailable, according to head coach Dennis Allen.
Huddle Up: Rattler may receive a few starts with Carr expected to miss several weeks but should be avoided in fantasy leagues for now.
