Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) will be a limited participant in organized team activities and should be completely healthy by the beginning of training camp.
Huddle Up: Irving is recovering from shoulder surgery performed shortly after the end of the regular season. Assuming that he can bounce back, Irving can be projected as an RB2 or flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving reportedly has not been cleared for offseason activities following shoulder surgery after the 2025 season, according to a source on Tuesday, May 12.
Huddle Up: Irving is expected to bounce back after an injury-filled 2025 season that let fantasy players down. With Zac Robinson being the new play-caller and his history with running backs, Irving can be projected right now as an RB2 or flex option.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Zac Robinson told the media that RB Bucky Irving and RB Kenneth Gainwell, "can kind of match each other in certain ways with what they can do in the pass game."
Huddle Up: The Bucs' backfield is hard to project with the injection of Gainwell into the mix. Irving remains a very optimistic choice in the backfield, but the arrival of Gainwell does complicate things. Irving can be an RB2 or flex option, while Gainwell remains a flex option as well.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) is recovering from shoulder surgery following the end of the regular season. His recovery timetable is expected to allow him to be ready for offseason workouts in May after the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Rachaad White is expected to exit the team via free agency, so Irving should be in line to enter the offseason as the No. 1 tailback in Tampa. However, expect the Bucs to make a run at a tailback either in the aforementioned draft, or via free agency, as Irving spent a ton of time banged up in 2025. If he is healthy, and he carves out a huge chunk of the backfield work for himself, he should cautiously be approached as a low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option in 2026. He could be a high-risk, high-reward option.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving is seen in the same light as Bijan Robinson in the pass game, according to offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.
Huddle Up: With Rachaad White being a free agent, the passing role out of the Bucs backfield is open for Irving to capture. If Robinson gets him more involved in that area, he can have the potential to be an RB1, but at the very least a stable RB2 in 2026.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving rushed for 85 yards on 26 carries and caught one pass for 13 yards in a 16-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: It wasn't an efficient performance for Irving, but he did log a season high in carries and rushing yards. Injuries derailed Irving's second season, but he saw plenty of touches when healthy. Irving should enter next season as a RB2 with RB1 upside.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RBs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White nearly split the backfield snaps right down the middle in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, with Irving seeing 54 percent of the snaps, to White's 48 percent. White was on the field for some of Irving's snaps because he is the best pass-blocking tailback.
Huddle Up: As far as stats, neither did very well at all. Irving had 19 rushing yards on nine totes, good for just 2.1 yards per carry (YPC), while White had two runs for 10 yards, and a pair of receptions. If you were to start anyone in fantasy leagues in Week 18, or in DFS, Irving still has more upside in Carolina, as the Bucs look to lock up a division title.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving rushed for 19 yards on nine carries and caught five passes for 14 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
Huddle Up: While Irving was unable to find any room to operate, he did dominate the backfield touches. Irving's 14 touches were eight more than the combined total of Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. Irving should see a big enough workload to finish in the RB2 mix in the season finale.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving rushed 19 times for 71 yards in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers, and he was not targeted in the passing game.
Huddle Up: Irving averaged just 3.7 yards per carry (YPC), while Rachaad White had five carries for 45 yards, or 9.0 YPC. Sean Tucker also had four carries, but just 0.8 YPC, albeit with a touchdown. Irving looks like he'll get a bulk of the work down the stretch now that he is healthy again. He is a solid low-end RB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 17.
