Las Vegas Raiders WR Amari Cooper announced his retirement on Thursday, Sept. 4.
Huddle Up: Cooper had signed at the end of camp in a hopeful reunion with the team that drafted him. That leaves the team with just four wide receivers on the roster: Jakobi Meyers, Dont'e Thornton, Tre Tucker and Jack Bech.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Amari Cooper has decided to retire from professional football.
Huddle Up: Cooper signed with the Raiders last week but has decided to retire instead. Dont'e Thornton Jr. should see a bigger role in the passing game with Cooper no longer on the team. Thornton should not be a start at this point but will likely be more valuable later in the season if he can become a reliable part of the passing game.

Free-agent WR Amari Cooper (Bills) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders Monday, Aug. 25, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Cooper sat out the entire training camp before signing with a team, so it is not known how the Raiders will use him in Week 1. There is a good chance that he will join the starting lineup at some point but is unlikely to be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues.

After trading WR George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers now hold multiple third-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. In the opinion of ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers could use one of those in a package to acquire a veteran receiver in a trade -- to that end, Fowler mentions San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore, and Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs as possible targets. In free agency, Fowler highlights Amari Cooper (Bills) and Keenan Allen (Bears) as potential fits.

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Amari Cooper (Bills) and the Dallas Cowboys have mutual interest in a reunion, though nothing is imminent, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Monday, May 5.
Huddle Up: Cooper struggled to catch on in Buffalo last year but would fill a need for the Cowboys in his age-31 season. He's only one year removed from a 72-1,250-5 season in Cleveland, and there would be less pressure to perform in this scenario. At any rate, Cooper is merely a late-round flier for those hoping something materializes.

Free-agent WR Amari Cooper (Bills) is being considered by the Dallas Cowboys as a possible option to sign this offseason, according to a source.
Huddle Up: The Cowboys likely will add another receiver at some point this offseason, and Cooper could be a solid option since he played in Dallas before. He did not have a lot of success this past season and may only be a No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues in 2025.

Free-agent WR Amari Cooper (Bills), WR Tyler Lockett (Seahawks) and WR Keenan Allen (Bears) likely will not receive interest from the New York Jets, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent DE Josh Sweat, Buffalo Bills impending free-agent WR Amari Cooper, Houston Texans impending free-agent WR Stefon Diggs and Los Angeles Chargers impending free-agent LB Khalil Mack are not expected to be targets for the New England Patriots during free agency, according to the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed.

Buffalo Bills impending free-agent WR Amari Cooper is a player the Bills are open to re-signing this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: Cooper was acquired by the Bills in the middle of the season but only caught 20 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. He probably would be a top-three receiver if he stayed with the Bills but would need to build a better connection with Josh Allen. He can be at least a flex option in most fantasy leagues next season depending on his situation.
