Huddle Up: Watson's athleticism is what made him special, and after numerous injuries, he's a meager QB2 option in his age-31 season.

Cleveland Browns QBs Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson are battling for the No. 1 job, and head coach Todd Monken indicated Sunday, Aug. 23, that a decision would likely be announced Monday, Aug. 24.
Huddle Up: Watson outplayed Sanders in the preseason opener, while Sanders was much better than Watson in the second preseason game. Whichever quarterback is the starter under center, that player would simply be a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams at this point.

Huddle Up: Saturday's preseason game could be a contributing factor in determining whether Watson or Sanders gets named as Cleveland's starting quarterback. That being said, neither player merits consideration as more than a low-end QB2 option in most fantasy leagues regardless of who wins the job.

Head coach Todd Monken said Sunday, Aug. 16 that Sanders will work with the first team Monday and Wednesday, with Watson doing so Tuesday and Thursday. That will also allow both players to get first-team reps in joint practices with the Buffalo Bills ahead of the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 22.
Huddle Up: Sanders and Watson continue their battle for the starting job in Cleveland. However, whomever ends up winning the job under center will simply be a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues. Neither is particularly attractive from a fantasy perspective at this juncture.

Huddle Up: Deshaun Watson drew the start and was efficient throwing the ball, but Sanders will reportedly have a chance to start the second preseason contest. The battle for the starting quarterback job looks set to continue further into the preseason, but even if Sanders ends up starting Week 1, it is hard to see him being more than a lower-end QB2.

Huddle Up: The Browns' quarterback competition enters its second preseason week, and it's anybody's ballgame here. No matter if it's Sanders or Watson, neither should be drafted in single-QB fantasy leagues, but both can be selected as QB3s in multiple-quarterback leagues where you can start more than one in your lineup.

Huddle Up: There have been some reports that indicated that Watson may be in the lead for the job, but head coach Todd Monken is unlikely to make a decision in the near future. Both Watson and Sanders can be considered No. 2 fantasy quarterbacks.

Monken said the starting quarterback will play the first half of the preseason game, while the other quarterback will play the third quarter of the game.
Huddle Up: It seems like Watson and Sanders will continue their competition throughout the preseason, so fantasy players should check for an announcement closer to the start of the regular season. Both Watson and Sanders can be considered No. 2 fantasy quarterbacks if they win the job.
