New York Giants QB Jameis Winston completed 18 of his 36 passes for 366 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a 34-27 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 12. He also ran four times for 13 yards and caught a 33-yard touchdown pass.
Huddle Up: Winston was making his second start in place of Jaxson Dart, and he certainly put on a show. Winston has never been afraid to push the ball down the field, but his playing style has often led to better fantasy results than results for his actual team. If Dart misses more time, Winston can be viewed as a high-risk, high-reward QB2.

Huddle Up: It's probably no real surprise, but Dart isn't expected to see much time, if any, in his rookie season, as he learns from the two veterans. Dart is worth a roster spot in long-term dynasty formats, but avoid him in redraft leagues.

Free-agent QB Jameis Winston (Browns) agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the New York Giants Friday, March 21, worth $8 million, according to sources. The deal could be worth as much as $16 million with incentives.
Huddle Up: It seems like Winston may open the season as the starter even if the Giants select a quarterback in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He has played well at times during his career but likely will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in leagues if he plays.

Impending free-agent QB Jameis Winston (Browns) stated on the Up & Adams show that the Pittsburgh Steelers are among the teams he would interested in signing with this offseason.
Huddle Up: It seems like an unlikely marriage considering how aggressive Winston is and how conservative the Steelers typically are offensively, but such a marriage could be huge news for George Pickens as Winston loves throwing downfield. To a lesser extent, Pat Freiermuth would also likely benefit. It seems more likely that the Steelers would try to keep either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, but they could do a lot worse than Winston as a bridge quarterback.
