Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) received a strong indication from head coach Kevin Stefanski on Monday, Jan. 18, that he will not be traded as he continues to recover from his torn anterior cruciate ligament. 'I texted with him this morning. I know he's working really hard to get better in his rehab. I'm excited to get him back here,' Stefanski said of Beckham during a virtual interview on Monday.
Huddle Up: Beckham is two months into his ACL rehab and signed through the end of the 2023 season, so a trade was always an unlikely proposition. Making things more difficult for a deal to get done is that he is already 28 years old and has dealt with injuries in four straight seasons. The Browns can always decide to go more pass-heavy in the future, but they seem intent on relying on the running game under Stefanski. As a result, a healthy Beckham needs to be viewed as a high-upside WR2 in fantasy in 2021.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield could be approached about a contract extension during the offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said that the team is now 'all in' and believes that Mayfield is their 'franchise quarterback.' Rapoport also added that there is 'no rush' on the extension with Mayfield under team control for the next two seasons if the club exercises its fifth-year option.
Huddle Up: Mayfield made strides under Kevin Stefanski and almost led the Browns to an upset of the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. He's still looking like more of a QB2 heading into 2021, especially given the strength of the running game, but the arrow certainly appears to be pointed up.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (hamstring) is expected to play in the AFC Divisional Round game versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: Njoku had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging just one limited practice session during the week. He should not be viewed as a recommended fantasy option this week because Austin Hooper is serving as the Browns' primary tight end.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) practiced in full all week and was left off the injury report for the AFC Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: Landry should be expected to get a full complement of snaps in what should be a high-scoring game. As a player who should be considered a lock for at least seven or eight targets, he's a solid mid-priced receiver option in DFS with significant upside.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) practiced in full for a second consecutive day Thursday, Jan. 14.
Huddle Up: It's pretty easy to tell when Landry's hip stopped being an issue. Beginning with Week 12, he has scored four times and averaged 6.5 catches for 76.8 yards. Prior to that, those averages were 3.8 and 47.1 and zero scores. Cleveland is expected to be in a shootout this weekend with the Kansas City Chiefs, putting Landry in a potential spot to exceed his mid-range price tag in DFS.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (hamstring) won't practice Thursday, Jan. 14, but is making progress, head coach Kevin Stefanski said.
Huddle Up: Njoku caught his only target for seven yards Sunday in the Browns' wild-card win over the Steelers, but only played 21 offensive snaps (31 percent). It sounds like Njoku has a chance to ramp things up in time to play this Sunday in Kansas City, but Austin Hooper (7 catches for 46 yards and a TD) is the Cleveland tight end to be trusted.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Huddle Up: Landry was one of the best players on the field for the Browns in the AFC Wild Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He caught five of eight targets for 92 yards and a touchdown. He'll be relied on heavily once again in a very pass-heavy matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 8, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.
Huddle Up: Landry will be one of the focal points in the passing game for the Browns and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues this week.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (concussion) cleared the league's concussion protocols Friday, Jan. 8, and is listed as questionable for the AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: Peoples-Jones came on a bit at the end of the regular season and will likely see a few more snaps than usual as a result of KhaDarel Hodge being unable to play. However, he will probably be used in a field-stretching role in a difficult matchup with Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins absorbing the bulk of short and intermediate routes.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 7. The Browns did not hold a practice Thursday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Landry is the top option in the passing game for the Browns and posted very good numbers during the second half of the season. He can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues this week.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 6. The Browns did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Landry played well during the second half of the season and will continue to be the main option in the passing game for the Browns. He can be a starting option in most fantasy leagues this week.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield went 17-for-27 for 196 yards and one touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. He also rushed for 44 yards on six carries during the game. RB Nick Chubb rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries, while RB Kareem Hunt rushed for 37 yards on 10 carries. WR Rashard Higgins caught two passes for 55 yards on three targets, WR Jarvis Landry rushed for a three-yard touchdown and caught five passes for 51 yards on six targets. TE Austin Hooper caught four passes for 37 yards and one touchdown on five targets.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Landry missed the last game because he was on the COVID-19 list but will receive his normal workload for Week 17. He can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins on Thursday, Dec. 31, was activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Huddle Up: Higgins will be back after sitting out Week 16 as a close contact and is a WR3/flex consideration.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry on Thursday, Dec. 31, was activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Huddle Up: Great news for the Browns, QB Baker Mayfield and Landry's fantasy owners as he had been enjoying his best stretch of the season prior to sitting out Week 15 with 29 catches for 318 yards and three TDs from Weeks 12-15. He's a WR2 option Sunday against the Steelers.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said Wednesday, Dec. 30, that the playoffs start in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he added that he lives for these moments. 'Just to be honest with you guys, the mentality here is we're in our playoffs just one week early,' Mayfield said. 'It's win or go home. That's the mentality for our guys. These are the moments you ask for. When you're little, you dream of playing in the game where it comes down to you have the ball in your hands and you want to take care of business. It comes down to the moments when you have to win.'
Huddle Up: Mayfield and the Browns are favored by about a touchdown to top the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will rest Ben Roethlisberger with the AFC North Division title sewn up. But the Browns still need to execute. They were missing the top four receivers last week due to COVID-19, and it will be interesting to see what cadre of receivers Mayfield will get to play with in the finale. He will likely be passing early and often, which bodes well for his fantasy value and DFS appeal in Week 17.

Cleveland Browns WR Marvin Hall was limited to one catch for 12 yards on two targets in Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: Hall was the only NFL caliber receiver on the active roster with the top four wideouts out due to COVID-19, but he is still learning the system and was barely used. Practice squad call-up Da'Marcus Bradley outperformed him. Hall isn't worth a look in fantasy or DFS heading into Week 17.

Cleveland Browns TE Harrison Bryant posted three receptions for 37 yards on seven targets in Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: Bryant saw a few extra targets with the Browns missing their four top wideouts due to COVID-19. Despite the solid showing the rookie isn't someone to key on for fantasy owners or DFS players heading into Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper registered team highs of seven receptions, 71 yards and 15 targets in Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: Hooper was one of a few NFL caliber targets among the tight ends and wideouts with the Browns missing Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge due to COVID-19. He'll look to keep up the good work in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb rushed 11 times for 28 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the New York Jets and he added five receptions for 38 yards on his five targets.
Huddle Up: The Jets keyed on the run with the Browns missing their top four receivers due to COVID, and Chubb was mostly ineffective. He'll look to bounce back in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 28-of-53 passes for 285 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the New York Jets and he rushed for six yards.
Huddle Up: Mayfield was able to post a high yardage total despite the fact he was without his top four wide receivers due to COVID-19. He spread the ball around to his tight ends and running backs, but the Browns came up just short of an 11th victory. He'll look for a better result in Week 17 against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns WRs Marvin Hall and Ja'Marcus Bradley are expected to be the starting receivers for the Browns in Week 16.
Huddle Up: The Browns put their top four receivers on the COVID-19 list, so Hall and Bradley will be involved in the passing game against the New York Jets. Hall joined the team a few weeks ago, while Bradley was added from the practice squad. Fantasy players probably should consider other options because their roles are uncertain.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Dec. 26.
Huddle Up: Landry will join several other receivers that will miss the Week 16 game because they are on the COVID-19 list. Marvin Hall is the only receiver on the roster that is on track to play and could be a flex option in some leagues. Austin Hooper and David Njoku likely will receive a lot of targets this week. Hooper can be a No. 1 tight end in leagues, while Njoku can be a possible flex option.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.
Huddle Up: Landry has been one of the better receivers in the NFL during the second half of the season and will have a favorable matchup this week. He should be at least a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: Landry has caught at least six passes in each of the last four games and has three touchdowns during that span. He will have a favorable matchup this week and can be at least a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Huddle Up: Landry has been a big part of Cleveland's surging passing attack. He'll be a low-end WR1 in another extremely favorable matchup against the New York Jets in Week 16.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper (neck) had five receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 15.
Huddle Up: Hooper has mostly disappointed in 2020, but he's now scored in two of the last three games, which is enough to at least provide a little hope if you're hurting at the TE position heading into Week 16.

Cleveland Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones pulled in all three of his targets for 55 yards in Week 15 against the New York Giants.
Huddle Up: Peoples-Jones lasted until the sixth round of this spring's draft in large part because he was considered a supremely talented player who underachieved at Michigan. It took an injury to Odell Beckham Jr. and some time this season for him to get his break, but he's getting a chance to show off his athleticism now and proving he might have a future in the league. He's still firmly behind Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins on the depth chart, but he's a player dynasty owners will want to keep an eye on moving forward.
