Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent QB Jacoby Brissett likely will not be a target for the New England Patriots this offseason, in the opinion of The Boston Globe's Ben Volin.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett will be under consideration to be the starting quarterback in 2021, according to general manager Chris Ballard. 'I don't want to discount Jacoby,' Ballard said. 'We still like Jacoby Brissett and think he's a good player. Let's not take Jacoby out of the mix completely here.'
Huddle Up: Brissett was occasionally a fantasy option when starting 15 games in the 2019 season. He finished with 2,942 passing yards and 18 touchdowns against six interceptions while adding 228 yards and four TDs on the ground. He would be a streaming option in more appealing matchups, but he would likely lower the value of WR Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett failed to complete both of his passing attempts, but he rushed four times for three yards and two touchdowns in a 45-26 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 12.
Huddle Up: Brissett essentially served as the running back near the goal line, and if he continues to have a similar role going forward, it will cap the upside of the rest of the backfield. The trend is worth watching.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett needs to make quicker decisions with the football, according to offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni. 'He always knew where to go with the football, and then we just speed that up a little bit,' Siranni said.
Huddle Up: After a solid start to the year, Brissett threw just four touchdown passes over his final nine games. He isn't a lock to be the starter for the Colts next year, but if he is under center in Indy, he's a low-end QB2 candidate.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett needs to be seen in a larger sample of work, according to general manager Chris Ballard Tuesday, Feb. 25. 'We did a 2-year deal with Jacoby to find out,' Ballard said at a press conference from the Scouting Combine. 'We like Jacoby Brissett. Love what he stands for. It was almost a tale of two seasons where we're 5-2, he's playing good football. He had the injury and we had injuries as a team and we kind of slid down. We did the short term deal to see what we had. To say we're going to create competition, we're going to create competition at any spot. That's going to be a year-to-year thing.'
Huddle Up: Brissett threw for 2,942 yards with 18 touchdowns and just six interceptions last season, but he was able to lead the Colts to a record of just 7-8 in his 15 starts. It's clear he needs more help in the passing game than he had in 2019, and he should be able to be a serviceable QB2 in fantasy leagues if Indy makes some additions this offseason.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett is a player on the rise, but the Colts will consider all options at quarterback this offseason, according to owner Jim Irsay.
Huddle Up: The Colts have been linked to Philip Rivers this offseason, but the team can consider several options if they do not want Brissett to be the starter in 2020. The Colts have a solid group of pass catchers, so their starter could be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues depending on the player.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (knee) will not require surgery on his knee during the offseason, according to GM Chris Ballard.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett is expected to be the starting quarterback in 2020, but general manager Chris Ballard doesn't rule out the possibility that could change. 'The jury's still out,' Ballard said.
Huddle Up: Brissett handled an impossible situation as well as anyone could with the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck. He threw for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions in 15 games. He's going to be a QB2 in fantasy if he's still at the helm.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett has had his footwork affected by his knee injury, in the opinion of offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni, who says that Brissett's drops haven't been the same since the knee injury, which could affect his accuracy.
Huddle Up: Brissett has done little over the past month-plus, so the Colts certainly have to hope that there are underlying factors at work. It'll be interesting to see how the team approaches the quarterback position this offseason.

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett completed 14-of-27 passes for 119 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers, although he did run for 37 yards and a score.
Huddle Up: Brissett didn't do much in the pass game, but at least he ran for the score to give fantasy owners something. He and the Colts will wrap up the season in Jacksonville in Week 17.
