Huddle Up: Kelley had some flashes in Washington and could be an RB5 upside pick if he fits in well.

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (toe) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Washington Redskins RB Samaje Perine is expected to be the third active running back on game day while RB Rob Kelley (toe) is sidelined.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Kelley is nursing a toe injury and might be sidelined at least a month, so Perine will get a chance to show what he can do. However, he still has Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson ahead of him, so Perine's roll will be rather limited. Perine is still not worth using in most fantasy leagues unless Peterson or Thompson go down, too.

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley said he is playing faster now that his weight is down to 221 pounds this season.

Huddle Up: Kelley's spot on the roster isn't set in stone, which probably has a lot to do with his leaner frame. If he does make the team, he will be a backup with little value in fantasy leagues.

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley has performed very well during the early part of training camp, according to head coach Jay Gruden.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Kelley is probably competing with Samaje Perine for a spot on the roster, so Kelley will need to perform well in the preseason to make the team. He probably would be a backup if he makes the team and should be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley has been the first running back to go through individual drills with running backs coach Randy Jordan during the first two weeks of organized team activities. He's also taken a majority of the reps at running back with the first-team offense.

Huddle Up: Kelley appeared to be on the verge of breaking out following a solid rookie campaign in 2016 before injuries limited him to seven games a year ago. With a logjam in the Washington backfield, it's best to wait and see how the workload will be split up during training camp.

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (ankle, knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Huddle Up: Chris Thompson will continue to be Washington's most valuable fantasy running back, but Samaje Perine will now have a more substantial role in the offense. He hasn't done much with the opportunities he's been given this season, but he deserves to be added off waivers nonetheless.
