Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew has outperformed QB C.J. Beathard this offseason by a considerable margin, according to SI.com's John Shipley.
Huddle Up: Despite Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer's refusal to name top draft pick Trevor Lawrence as the team's No. 1 quarterback, he appears to be the heavy favorite to be the Week 1 starter, leaving Minshew and Beathard to compete for the No. 2 job. At this point in the offseason, there doesn't appear to be much of a trade market for Minshew and while he would be one of the NFL's better backup QB options, he possesses minimal value for fantasy owners. Lawrence should be viewed as a QB2 in standard leagues for the time being, although he could be a starting option in daily fantasy games when he has a favorable matchup.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard went 13-for-22 for 182 yards and three touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. He also rushed for 18 yards on three carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Beathard did not post a big yardage total this week but was able to find the end zone three times. He will receive another start next week against the Seattle Seahawks but should only be a possible starting option in two-quarterback leagues.
