New York Giants TE Ricky Seals-Jones (undisclosed) has missed six practices in a row due to an undisclosed injury, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic on Friday, Aug. 5.

Huddle Up: Duggan also noted rookie Daniel Bellinger was "clearly the No. 1 tight end" at Friday's practice, and he has been getting significant work with the ones throughout camp. Seals-Jones will likely split time with Bellinger but isn't a viable fantasy option until we see some consistent production.

New York Giants TE Daniel Bellinger "seems to be the starting favorite early on," Dan Benton of Giants Wire writes. The fourth-round pick is expected to compete with free-agent acquisition and TE Ricky Seals-Jones.

Huddle Up: We would have penciled in Seals-Jones as the favorite, but it appears the rookie has a better shot than initially thought. Even if one technically wins the starting job, we'd expect a fairly even split in snaps here. Bellinger is a late-round pick in dynasty rookie drafts, but neither he nor Seals-Jones are trustworthy options in re-draft leagues until we see how this situation plays out.

Free-agent TE Ricky Seals-Jones (Commanders) agreed to terms with the New York Giants Wednesday, March 16, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Seals-Jones likely will take over the starting tight end job for the Giants. He was a productive player this past season and should see a handful of targets each week. He probably should be considered a No. 2 fantasy tight end next season.
