Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin (knee) was diagnosed with a 'clean' tear of the anterior cruciate ligament but not suffer any additional injuries in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. Jarwin is expected to undergo surgery in the near future and make a full recovery for the 2021 season.
Huddle Up: Jarwin was a popular fantasy sleeper this summer, but any chance of him living up to that hype will have to wait a year. Dalton Schultz came on late during camp and should be an adequate replacement for the Cowboys but maybe not fantasy owners. Jarwin's absence should open up a few more looks for the likes of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb - all of whom should be starting in fantasy in the majority of games moving forward.

Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a knee injury. He finished with one grab for 12 yards on one target.
Huddle Up: Jarwin went down with a non-contact injury and grabbed the back of his knee immediately after crumpling to the ground. With Jarwin on the shelf it is Dalton Schultz who figures to benefit.

Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin 'has had an amazing camp,' according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. 'He just keeps getting better,' Jones said 'His rapport with Dak is outstanding, and I really think he's got a chance to step right in there and be a really good, if not great, tight end for us.'

Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin is now the team's No. 1 tight end. 'I've still got a lot to prove,' Jarwin said. He noted he learned a lot from veteran TE Jason Witten, who is now with the Las Vegas Raiders, and plans to use that to get better. According to Jarwin, Witten always went 100 percent trying to 'make it' like he did when he was a rookie. 'I was an undrafted free agent,' Jarwin said. 'That's going to prevent me from ever being content.' Jarwin had 31 receptions for 365 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Huddle Up: If Jarwin can approach the 63-reception total Witten had a year ago, he's going to have value as a low-end TE1 or DFS streamer. However, he should be drafted as a second TE in deeper leagues.

Free-agent TE Blake Jarwin (Cowboys) agreed to terms on a three-year contract worth up to $24.25 million to remain with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, March 16. The deal includes $9.25 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: And with that, it's a pretty good bet Jason Witten's time in Dallas is over. Jarwin is coming off a career year (31 catches for 365 yards and three touchdowns) and figures to see a huge increase in targets with Witten no longer around, and the amount of money he's getting suggests the Cowboys see him as an important cog moving forward. Consider him an under-the-radar low-end TE1 for fantasy purposes this season.

Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin caught six passes for 50 yards in a Week 14 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Huddle Up: Fifty yards was a season high for Jarwin, who clearly looks more dynamic than Jason Witten even though the team insists on basically splitting their chances in the passing game evenly. Until he surpasses Witten, Jarwin only holds value in the largest of leagues.

Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin had just one reception for 42 yards and a touchdown on his only target in Week 9 against the New York Giants on Monday, Nov. 4.
Huddle Up: Jarwin cashed in on the touchdown which was nice, but he shouldn't be used in most fantasy formats as long as Jason Witten (8-58-0, nine targets) is healthy. The Cowboys host the Vikings in Week 10.
