Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (concussion) on Saturday, Nov. 9, was placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
Huddle Up: This is notable chiefly for handcuff purposes as Brian Hill now replaces Smith as the No. 2 back behind Devonta Freeman.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (neck) on Friday, Nov. 8, was ruled out of the team's Week 10 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Huddle Up: The neck issue lingers on for Smith, who sat out Week 8 and wasn't able to heal during the team's Week 9 bye. Smith had been spelling starter Devonta Freeman, but that role now belongs to Brian Hill.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (neck) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Huddle Up: Smith should be avoided in all fantasy leagues even if he is active for the game.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (neck) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Huddle Up: Smith likely would only see a handful of touches if he is active for the game and can be benched if fantasy players have better options available.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (neck) was removed from the concussion protocol Wednesday, Nov. 6, but is now dealing with a neck injury.
Huddle Up: Smith is an option in only very deep leagues as a desperation flex option. His value lies mostly in dynasty leagues as the potential replacement to Devonta Freeman in Atlanta.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (head, neck) suffered head and neck injuries during the Week 7 game and will not return.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith (head) left the Week 7 game early and is being evaluated for a head injury. He is considered questionable to return.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith managed only six yards on three carries and was not targeted in the passing game in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: Smith had been a bit of a nuisance to fantasy owners of Devonta Freeman in recent weeks, but that was not the case versus the Cardinals. The fact Smith was hardly involved in this contest likely had to do with the fact Freeman was playing well (88 yards rushing and 30 yards receiving). Smith figures to make for a weak flex option in Week 8 versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith played 35 offensive snaps to starer Devonta Freeman's 40 in Week 5 against the Houston Texans.
Huddle Up: Smith played just three offensive snaps in Week 3 but then played 30 in Week 4. The sophomore caught all six of his targets in the passing game this past week for 45 yards for season highs in receptions, targets and yards. He isn't a starting option yet on a Falcons team often playing from behind, but he can be stashed in preparation for an eventual takeover from the ineffective Freeman.
