San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. was scheduled to receive the team's red-zone work in Week 2, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan Monday, Sept, 17. 'I wouldn't say he's our designated red-zone back, but that was how we planned going into the game. ... We tried to do that when we got down there.'
Huddle Up: Wilson rushed 10 times for 34 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals but scored two touchdowns. Raheem Moster played 47% of the offensive snaps while Matt Breida started and played 29% of offensive snaps to Wilson's 21%. The three-headed committee will limit value for each individual involved, but Mostert and Breida seem to be the safest starts while Tevin Coleman is sidelined by injury.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeffery Wilson rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: The 49ers ran the ball 42 times for 259 yards versus the Bengals, so it's not terribly surprising Wilson was one of three San Francisco running backs to be relevant in fantasy this week. Although it's hard to jump to conclusions based on one game, it does appear head coach Kyle Shanahan does favor him near the goal line. Barring a rash of injuries to the position again this year, however, owners probably aren't going to see another day like this from Wilson anytime soon.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson is expected to be promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 14.
Huddle Up: The Niners only have Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert at running back with Tevin Coleman out, but Wilson wouldn't be worth any fantasy consideration outside of a bench spot in super-deep leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeffery Wilson faces an uphill climb for a
roster spot with RBs Tevin Coleman, Matt Breida, Jerick McKinnon
and Raheem Mostert in the crowded backfield.
Huddle Up: Wilson posted 266 rushing yards in six games with two starts in
2018, and he also added 98 yards on 12 receptions. If everyone is
healthy and the 49ers can't find a way to keep him, Wilson won't
take long to find another job. He is a risky fantasy option
heading into 2019 due to his murky outlook.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeffery Wilson rushed 11 times for 27 and
caught one pass for six yards in a 14-9 loss to the Chicago Bears

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeffery Wilson finished with seven carries
for 46 yards in a 26-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15.
Huddle Up: Wilson was an afterthought with Matt Breida healthy, but Breida
went down late in the game to another ankle injury. If Breida
misses time, Wilson will vault into flex territory.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeffery Wilson rushed 23 times for 90
yards and caught one pass for six yards in a 20-14 win over the
Denver Broncos in Week 14.
Huddle Up: If Matt Breida continues to miss time, Wilson should be a solid
option as a volume-based flex play.
