Indianapolis Colts QB Jacob Eason will start the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 15, and will play around a quarter and a half, according to head coach Frank Reich. QB Sam Ehlinger likely will start the second preseason game.
Huddle Up: Eason and Ehlinger are candidates to start Week 1 if Carson Wentz is not available to play because of his foot injury. Neither quarterback should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts QBs Jacob Eason and Sam Ehlinger will split the first-team repetitions over the next week. Ehlinger took two sacks and finished just 5-for-11 in his time under center Tuesday, Aug. 10. Meanwhile, Eason went 9-for-10 during 11-on-11 drills to nine different receivers.
Huddle Up: Eason is a strong front runner for the gig, but he's a low-end QB2 in fantasy.

Indianapolis Colts fourth-round pick QB Jacob Eason had a tendency to force passes into tight windows in college because he has such a strong arm. Those windows close quicker in the NFL, and Eason knows he has to work on consistency and avoid tunnel vision locking on receivers. 'I think his arm talent was probably the best in the draft as far as quarterbacks go,' head coach Frank Reich said. 'What I liked about his arm talent is he can throw it on a rope, he can throw it long, he can throw with touch, he can change the speed on the ball and he can deliver from different arm angles.'
