Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) underwent a successful arthroscopic debridement Wednesday, Jan. 25, which is a minimally invasive procedure designed to clean out the ankle. No structural damage was found during the surgery, which was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay. Although Taylor would not put a timetable on the amount of time needed to fully recover, he said that he expects to be ready for the beginning of the 2023 season.
Huddle Up: Taylor will likely miss some offseason workouts and has a chance to be available at some point during training camp. Although he battled injuries for most of the 2022 season, he remains worthy of consideration as a No. 1 running back in fantasy leagues next season.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was officially placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, Dec. 20, ending his season.
Huddle Up: After suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 15, it was a foregone conclusion that Taylor was done for 2022. The popular top pick in re-draft leagues never returned that kind of value this season after a breakout 2021 campaign, as he battled through injury and inconsistent production on a bad team en route to RB2-level production. However, Taylor still managed to tally 1,000 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns in 11 games, which just goes to show there is still elite potential there. Despite his disappointing season, Taylor will be back on the RB1 map and a borderline first-round pick in re-draft leagues in 2023.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the Week 15 game after suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter.
Huddle Up: Taylor got banged-up on the first drive of the game and won't return in Week 15, which is a massive blow to fantasy owners in the playoffs this week. Deon Jackson and Zack Moss will likely split work the rest of the way, but Jackson will be the better waiver add for Week 16 should Taylor miss a game.
