Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (core) underwent core muscle surgery Friday, Aug. 13. The Ravens hope Bateman will be able to return at some point in September.
Huddle Up: There is a decent chance that Bateman misses a few regular season games because of the surgery, so fantasy players can monitor his recovery. He could be a late round option in deeper leagues but can be avoided in most leagues.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (groin) may be a candidate to start the season on the Reserve/Injured list, in the opinion of The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Bateman would miss at least the first three weeks of the season if he is placed on IR.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation to see if Bateman is on the active roster or the reserve list. He should still have a solid role in the passing game once he is ready to play and could be a late round option in drafts.

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (groin) will undergo groin surgery and is expected to return sometime in September, head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday, Aug. 12.
Huddle Up: The rookie wideout is still a late-round flyer in drafts, but the chances of him delivering a usable WR4 season keep getting slimmer.

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (groin) will miss 'a number of weeks' due to a groin injury, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Huddle Up: That likely kills his single-year value for now. He's still worth stashing in deeper formats or in dynasty leagues. Devin Duvernay could get a longer look and be worthy of a late-round flyer.

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (groin) is considered week-to-week after suffering a groin injury during practice Tuesday, Aug. 10.
Huddle Up: NFL Network's Mike Garafolo is reporting that evaluations are "ongoing and it's too early to know if he'll be sidelined to start a regular season." This news should effectively end whatever surge Bateman's fantasy stock was experiencing, but it also stands to make him a potential value pick later in the draft now. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable taking him as a WR4 and definitely as a WR5.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (leg) suffered a soft tissue injury to his lower leg Tuesday, Aug. 10. Bateman is expected to be 'out for a while' but not 'a crazy length of time,' according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Huddle Up: Bateman has impressed the Ravens so far this summer and is widely expected to lead Baltimore's receiver group across the board this season. Unfortunately, this injury will likely keep him from participating in the preseason, making it quite possible he ends up being a value pick in the double-digit rounds. Consider him on the WR4/5 borderline.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) limped off the field Tuesday, Aug. 10, after he was injured while cutting and did not return.
Huddle Up: It is never good to suffer a non-contact injury while cutting. Wait for details before progressing with the late-round flyer in drafts.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) left practice early Saturday, July 31, because of an undisclosed injury but said he will be able to practice Monday, Aug. 2.
Huddle Up: Bateman should have a role in the passing game during his rookie season and could push for a starting job if he performs well during training camp. Fantasy players can consider selecting Bateman in the later rounds of drafts.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has wowed in practice this spring. Throughout the spring, Bateman backed up the scouting report about being an exceptional route-runner with how smoothly and succinctly he maneuvered all over the field. No one got open more consistently. Bateman has had some drops, which plagued him in college as well.
Huddle Up: Teammates have raved about how pro-ready he is and the maneuvers he uses to get open. Bateman looks like a low-end WR4 option right now and could go higher in training camp.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman looks ready to be 'a significant contributor from Day 1,' according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Huddle Up: Baltimore has been searching for a go-to target for Lamar Jackson, and while some hype is growing around Bateman, it will take a significant change in Baltimore's run-heavy philosophy for any receiver to put up big numbers. He is a late-round lottery ticket in redraft leagues.
