Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman is the "clear No. 2 receiver" behind Zay Flowers, according to sources Monday, July 15.
Huddle Up: The embattled former first-round pick faces an uphill battle as likely the third overall target in the Ravens system. His draft pedigree suggests he may be talented but managers should proceed with caution before buying in fully. Consider Bateman a WR4 type until he proves to have a solid target share.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has shown great route running and ball skills during practices and should have a very productive season in 2024, according to TE Mark Andrews.
Huddle Up: Bateman should be a top three receiver for the Ravens and likely will see a decent amount of targets each game. He can be drafted in a majority of leagues but will not be a starting option most weeks.

The Baltimore Ravens and WR Rashod Bateman agreed to a contract extension through the 2026 season, the team announced on Wednesday, April 24. The financial terms weren't disclosed.
Huddle Up: This is a surprising one considering Bateman has been woefully disappointing over his first three seasons in the NFL. Not only has he battled injury, Bateman also hasn't been productive when on the field. He'll be a late-round dart throw in re-draft leagues in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman is "going to take a big step" and see the ball "a lot more" in 2024, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Huddle Up: Bateman's first three seasons with the club have been largely disappointing after a strong start in his rookie year (2021). Injuries have been a major factor in his slow development, although he did stay healthy for the most part in 2023. Perhaps another healthy season and the possible departure of Odell Beckham Jr. will give Bateman enough opportunities to eclipse the 50-catch mark for the first time in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman managed just a single 2-yard reception on three targets in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: Bateman played in 16 regular-season games, but he managed just 56 receptions for 367 yards and one touchdown, and he has 1,167 receiving yards across 35 NFL regular-season games. While he isn't necessarily a bust, he hasn't come close to posting numbers anywhere close to a first-round player. Zay Flowers has blown past him for WR1 duties in Charm City. Heading into 2024, it wouldn't be surprising to see him go undrafted in most fantasy leagues.
