Washington Football Team WR Steven Sims has the skills to serve as the 'Z' receiver in offensive coordinator Scott Turner's system, according to Mark Bullock of The Athletic.

Washington Redskins WR Steven Sims said he has been training this offseason to 'play maybe 90 plays in a game' and is eyeing a bigger and more versatile role in the offense. 'I want to show that I can run routes as well. I'm not just a gadget player. I'm a receiver, and I run routes,' Sims said.
Huddle Up: Sims will be competing with Kelvin Harmon, Cody Latimer and rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden for the No. 2 role behind Terry McLaurin. There should be plenty of targets available in the Dwayne Haskins-led offense, and Sims could warrant a late-round flier in deeper leagues.

Huddle Up: Sims posted 310 yards and four touchdowns this past season and should be a solid target for the quarterback again in 2020. Fantasy players in point-per-reception leagues could consider Sims in the later rounds, but he probably will be avoided in most standard leagues.
