Buffalo Bills CB Stephon Gilmore (wrist) is expected to be sidelined anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks due to his fractured wrist.
Huddle Up: The Bills are hurting in the offensive and defensive backfields. There's the QB situation, of course, on offense and then there's the secondary with Gilmore, the Bills' first-round pick a year ago, likely to miss close to half a season and starting FS Jarius Byrd dealing with plantar fasciitis. Not good news with Tom Brady and the Pats up first on the schedule.

Buffalo Bills CB Stephon Gilmore will miss eight weeks with a hand or wrist issue.
Huddle Up: The Bills' top corner suffered the injury in the preseason game against Washington. The best-case scenario has him missing the first six games, with Leodis McKelvin stepping into Gilmore's role as the team's top corner.

The Buffalo Bills believe CB Stephon Gilmore, the 10th overall selection in the draft, will do an adequate job of covering the New England Patriots' tight end attack. 'We would like to be able to match up against those two guys,' said general manager Buddy Nix of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. 'Even though you're not as big as they are these guys with speed and they're big enough that they can't knock them around and push them away from them. It's a lot harder for them against these bigger corners. Yes, we think (Gilmore) can do that.'
Huddle Up: Buffalo is always trying to shore up the secondary and it never seems to work. They picked CB Aaron Williams in the second round last year. Four years ago they picked CB Leodis McKelvin with the 11th pick. At some point Buffalo has to load up and just try to outscore somebody.
