Updating previous reports, Detroit Lions WR Jermaine Kearse (leg) could miss the 2019 season due to a broken left leg and additional injuries suffered to his ankle during the preseason game against the New England Patriots Thursday, Aug. 8.
Huddle Up: Kearse had been the leading candidate to win the Lions' No. 4 receiver job behind Marvin Jones, Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola prior to getting hurt. WRs Andy Jones, Brandon Powell, Travis Fulham and Tommylee Lewis will battle for reserve spots but none of these candidates possess much value in any fantasy format.

Huddle Up: Kearse could be a value pick late in PPR drafts as a WR5.

Free-agent WR Jermaine Kearse (Jets) said in a radio interview Wednesday, March 20 that he is interested in a return to the Seattle Seahawks. 'I have not personally talked to (General Manager John Schneider) or (head coach Pete Carroll),' he said, while adding he is pretty sure his agent talked to Carroll. 'Look, I would love to play back in Seattle. Obviously, thing would have to work out.'
Huddle Up: Kearse might come on the cheap after a rather underwhelming year in New York where he had just 37 grabs for 371 yards and one touchdown across 14 games. Wherever he lands, he needs to have a few good games to build up trust with fantasy owners again.

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (Achilles') was on the sideline for practice Wednesday, Dec. 26, as he was unable to participate.
Huddle Up: Kearse was banged up in the game last week against the Packers and it doesn't sound as if he'll be able to play. However, circle back Friday for his official injury designation. He had four grabs for 55 yards on four targets before his injury last week, making him worth a look as a WR5 when healthy.
