Buffalo Bills RB James Cook said he hopes to receive a contract extension and wants to remain with the team for a long time. General manager Brandon Beane said he has talked with Cook several times this week and expects Cook to report for training camp.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should monitor the situation over the next several weeks to see if Cook and the Bills can reach an agreement on an extension. He will be the main running back for the Bills this upcoming season and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook was present for the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 10.
Huddle Up: While it is unknown how much Cook will participate in minicamp, he made it clear to reporters they he has no ill will with the team regarding his desire for a contract extension. Cook should be expected to show up for training camp - or at least most of it - but is a prime candidate for touchdown regression in 2025 after scoring 18 one season ago. Nevertheless, he should still see enough volume this season to be a solid fantasy RB2 at worst.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook is attending minicamp Tuesday, June 10, but it's unclear if he'll participate as he seeks a new contract.
Huddle Up: Cook was the RB8 in PPR leagues in 16 games last season as he tallied a 209-1,009-16 line on the ground and a 32-258-2 line through the air. He has been durable the last two years and remains the unquestioned RB1 with Ray Davis and Ty Johnson behind him. He'll remain a solid RB1 in fantasy.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook is at a stalemate with the team in terms of a new contract, and it's unclear whether he will be present at mandatory minicamp, according to sources Saturday, June 7. Cook can be fined over $100,000 if he does not report for mandatory minicamp.
Huddle Up: With Cook coming off a career season that included 1,267 total yards and 18 total touchdowns, it's expected that he will want a new deal going into the final year of his rookie contract. It's still early in the process so managers should still view Cook as a fringe RB1 going into training camp.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook was not present for the offseason workout Tuesday, June 3.
Huddle Up: Cook has been skipping workouts because of his contract situation but probably will return to practice during either the mandatory minicamp or training camp. He will receive most of the work in the running game when he returns to the team and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook did not report for the start of the offseason program on Tuesday, April 22.
Huddle Up: It would not be a surprise if Cook misses the bulk of spring work as he continues his quest to push for a contract extension that pays at least $15 million per season. In the meantime, expect Ray Davis to get the bulk of first-team work and make his case for more touches in 2025.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook will play for the team next season regardless of the wide gap in contract extension negotiations, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Cook, who is due to make $5.3 million in 2025, is reportedly asking for $15 million per season. The 25-year-old should be one of the more attractive free agents in the event he reaches the open market next offseason, although it would be a shock if it happens. Either way, it appears he can be counted on to handle his usual 15 or so touches each week and serve as a low-end fantasy RB1.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook has not made a lot of progress in contract extension talks with the Bills at this point, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Cook said he is looking for a lucrative contract extension, but the Bills do not appear to be in a rush to reach an agreement. Cook will continue to be the main running back for the Bills in 2025 and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook has said that he is looking for a contract extension, but general manager Brandon Beane indicated that an extension for Cook will not happen in the near future.
Huddle Up: Cook is entering the final year of his contract, but the two sides have plenty of time to reach an agreement. He should be a big part of the offense next season and will be a weekly starting option in all leagues.
