New England Patriots WR Romeo Doubs (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation to see when Doubs will be able to return to the field. He is expected to be one of the starting receivers for the Patriots this season and can be at least a No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte has been the "early star" of training camp, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss, who notes that the team could look to trade a receiver based on the team's depth at the position. For now, Boutte is behind WRs A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs on the depth chart, and likely WR Mack Hollins as well.
Huddle Up: Boutte has flashed the past two seasons, but he has never carved a consistent role with the Pats. Unless he can unseat Hollins or gets traded to a team that can give him more opportunities, his fantasy profile will remain nominal in standard formats. Still, at age 24, it's not outside the realm of possibility that Boutte could emerge. Keep an eye on him over the next month to see what role he's projected to fill.

New England Patriots WR Romeo Doubs will be helped by the routes that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels plans to implement, according to executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.
Huddle Up: McDaniels apparently identified Doubs as a player who could benefit from his scheme, and Doubs should be a steady option in the passing game. Doubs looks like a WR3 option heading into 2026.

Free-agent WR Romeo Doubs (Packers) officially signed with the New England Patriots Thursday, March 12. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Doubs should be one of the starting receivers for the Patriots right away and will likely be an important part of the team's passing game. He can be considered at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues next season.

Impending free-agent WR Romeo Doubs (Packers) reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year, $70 million contract with the New England Patriots on Tuesday, March 10.
Huddle Up: Doubs will take over the role left by Stefon Diggs' departure. He could find himself being a viable WR3 or flex option if the Patriots' passing game maintains the level it had in 2025.

Green Bay Packers impending free agent WR Romeo Doubs is expected to be a target of the Buffalo Bills in free agency, in the opinion of Tony Pauline of EssentiallySports.com on Thursday, March 5.
Huddle Up: Doubs put up a solid season in 2025, with 55 receptions, 724 yards and six touchdowns for the Packers. However, Doubs was at the mercy of an offense that spreads the ball around when they did pass. The Packers didn't prioritize the pass enough for gaudy individual numbers that pop for fantasy football. Doubs will seek a free agent market that's very robust, as he's sought after by quite a few NFL teams. With his value potentially on the rise if he lands in the right situation, Doubs could be a worthwhile low-end WR3 with more target-earning potential on an offense that passes more than the Packers have in recent seasons.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Romeo Doubs is a player the Packers are open to re-signing this offseason, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst.
Huddle Up: Doubs should receive interest from multiple teams if he hits the free-agent market, so fantasy players can monitor the situation over the next few weeks. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues depending on his situation.

Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs "is as good as gone" from the team in 2026, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.
Huddle Up: Doubs is likely to be highly sought after in free agency and would sign elsewhere to be a WR2 at a minimum. He could become a sneaky flex play in the right landing spot.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Romeo Doubs could be a fit for the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, but Fowler believes the "door isn't closed" on Doubs re-signing in Green Bay.
