Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is expected to make a full recovery from his injured knee and should have the opportunity to resume his career at some point, according to multiple sources. He has already undergone one surgical procedure to repair his lateral collateral and medial collateral ligaments and is slated to undergo another procedure to reconstruct his torn anterior cruciate ligament soon. He also dislocated his entire knee but no longer requires the use of crutches.
Huddle Up: Dell has a long road of recovery ahead of him and should not be counted on for 2025 fantasy drafts. There is a slim chance that he will be able to resume playing late in the 2025 season but 2026 appears to be more likely, although no official timeline has been released by the Texans.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is "on the right track" and "in much better spirits," according to head coach DeMeco Ryans on Thursday, Feb. 13.
Huddle Up: Dell is just under a month removed from the first of what is expected to be multiple surgeries on the knee injury he suffered in December. While there is a possibility that Dell can play at some point late in the 2025 season, fantasy managers should not hold their breath, as there is little chance he will be fully recovered from all of his injuries (torn ACL, MCL and LCL, meniscus damage and a dislocated kneecap) until 2026.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) does not have a timetable for his return at this point since it is too early in his recovery, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Huddle Up: Dell suffered a serious knee injury near the end of the season, so there is a good chance that he will not be ready for the start of the 2025 season. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the offseason because Dell can be at least a flex option when healthy.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) had the first of several surgeries on his injured knee Thursday, Jan. 16.
Huddle Up: There's no timetable for his return, but he shouldn't be counted on for 2025 drafts. He suffered tears to his ACL, MCL and LCL while also suffering damage to his meniscus and a dislocated kneecap.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) was diagnosed with tears in his anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral collateral ligament on Tuesday, Dec. 24. In addition, he also suffered a dislocated kneecap and damage to his meniscus.
Huddle Up: Terrible news. Not only is Dell out for the rest of this season, but the extensive damage he suffered to his knee in Week 16 also likely threatens his ability to play in 2025 as well. From a fantasy perspective, Dell can obviously be dropped in redraft leagues and maybe even in some dynasty leagues given how likely it is that he will not play again until 2026. Houston's addition of Diontae Johnson should help the team navigate through the rest of this season, but the likelihood that the Texans find a way to bring back Stefon Diggs (ACL) now increases.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 23.
Huddle Up: Dell suffered a serious injury during the Week 16 game and may not be ready for the start of the 2025 season depending on his recovery. Nico Collins is the only Texans receiver that should be a starting option in fantasy leagues, but Diontae Johnson could be a possible flex option in some leagues.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) suffered a torn ACL and other damage along with a dislocated knee cap, head coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday, Dec. 23.
Huddle Up: It was already determined that Dell would miss the remainder of the season. Coming off a broken fibula that ended his rookie season prematurely, Dell struggled in his second season, averaging 6.0 fantasy points per game. A timeline for return hasn't been reported yet, but it's likely he will miss the start of the 2025 season.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) did not participate in practice Sunday, Dec. 22. The Texans did not hold a practice Sunday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Dell suffered a significant injury during the Week 16 game, so he likely will not be available to play against the Baltimore Ravens. Nico Collins is the only Texans receiver that should be a starting option at this time.

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) suffered a dislocated left kneecap, according to sources on Saturday, Dec. 21. Doctors are still trying to determine the full extent of the damage, and surgery hasn't yet been ruled out.
Huddle Up: Surgery or not, such an injury suggests a premature end to Dell's season.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell landed six of seven looks for 98 yards and a score Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16, before being taken to a local-area hospital with a severe left leg injury.
Huddle Up: As mentioned in a previous report, it will be surprising if Dell is back on the field anytime soon. His health and speedy recovery is the more important concern.
