Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is expected to be ready for Week 1, in the opinion of beat writer Jonathan Alexander.
Huddle Up: Dell missed the entire 2025 season after an awful knee injury in Week 16 of 2024. He had a 51-667-3 line in 14 games that season and will turn 27 in October. He'll be worth a flyer as a WR4 in fantasy.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is uncertain for organized team activities (OTAs) next month, but he has nearly made it all the way back from a gruesome knee injury in a game in Dec. 2024 when he tore most of the ligaments in his left knee while also dislocating the kneecap. "Tank is grinding," head coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He's showing up every day. Great attitude. He's really working hard. Don't know if at OTAs he'll be there, but he'll be back at some point this year."
Huddle Up: While that's a feel-good story, the Texans have added a lot of young receivers to the mix since Dell went down. Nico Collins is a star, and the team has Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel and Justin Watson in the mix now. There doesn't look to be a lot of room for Dell, but if he can flash his pre-injury form, there might be a role for him in Houston, or possibly elsewhere. For fantasy purposes, he is strictly a wait-and-see guy at this point.

Houston Texans HC DeMeco Ryans told the media at the NFL's Annual League Meetings that WR Tank Dell is still rehabbing from his knee injury. He added, "Don't know if OTA's he'll be there."

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is expected to be ready for offseason activities, according to general manager Nick Caserio. "He worked very hard," Caserio said. "I think our performance group, they do a really good job. I would anticipate him being available for the offseason. Knowing Tank, he's probably cautiously optimistic that he's going to be able to go out there and be Tank Dell."
Huddle Up: Dell missed the entire season recovering from a knee injury, but he should be back in the mix in 2026. Whether or not he is still the speedy big-play threat he was prior to the injury remains to be seen, but Dell's upside will be worth taking a chance on as a WR4 or WR5.

Huddle Up: Dell missed the entire season because of his knee injury but should be ready for training camp next season. He will likely be a top three receiver for the Texans in 2026 and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is making terrific progress in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament but there is no timetable for his return, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Dell was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Wednesday, July 23.
Huddle Up: It seems like Dell will not be ready for the start of the 2025 season, but fantasy players should keep an eye on his recovery during the preseason. He was playing very well before the injury and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver when healthy. Players can consider stashing him on their roster if they have the room.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) "will more than likely miss the 2025 season" while recovering from a knee injury, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle.
Huddle Up: Given the extent of Dell's injury, 2026 was always a more reasonable timetable for his return. If you own Dell in a dynasty league, you have to hope he can return to form whenever he is able to take the field.

Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see when Dell will be able to return to the field. He is a big part of the offense when healthy but may not be an option for players during the early part of the 2025 season.
