New England Patriots exclusive rights free-agent C Ben Brown and OT Demontrey Jacobs signed one-year contracts on Thursday, Feb. 20. Brown's base salary will be $1.3 million, while Jacobs' deal will be worth $960,000.

The New England Patriots were awarded LB Curtis Jacobs (Chiefs), DL Eric Johnson (Colts) and OTs Demontrey Jacobs (Broncos) and Zachary Thomas (Rams) off waivers on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The team also waived/injured LB Durell Nchami (undisclosed) and released WR Tim Patrick, WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey, WR David Sills, RB Samaje Perine, FB Michael Burton, C Sam Mustipher and OG Calvin Throckmorton. LB Drew Sanders (Achilles) and S Delarrin Turner-Yell (knee) were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, while CB Damarri Mathis (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list but has been designated to return later this season.

The team also waived RB Tyler Badie, WR Michael Bandy, LB Seth Benson, OG Henry Byrd, WR Marquez Callaway, QB Ben DiNucci, CB Art Green, WR Taylor Grimes, WR Josh Hammond, LB Marcus Haynes, CB Faion Hicks, TE Tommy Hudson, DE Jordan Jackson, OT Demontrey Jacobs, RB Tony Jones Jr., CB Devon Key, DT Tomasi Laulile, DT P.J. In addition, the team waived/injured LB Chris Allen (undisclosed) and placed LB Baron Browning (knee) on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Denver Broncos OT Demontrey Jacobs (ankle, knee) has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain and a sprained knee after being injured during the final preseason game. He may only be sidelined for one to three weeks.
