The Houston Texans officially hired TE coach James Ferentz and offensive assistant Alex Ward on Tuesday, Feb. 10 after previously agreeing to terms with the two coaches.

Former NFL center James Ferentz agreed to become the new assistant offensive line coach for the New York Giants on Tuesday, March 26. He is replacing Chris X. Smith, who accepted a coaching job at James Madison.

New England Patriots impending free-agent OL James Ferentz re-signed with the Patriots on a one-year, $1.215 million with a $50,000 signing bonus and $200,000 guarantees. The deal includes $30,000 in incentives.
