New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell posted a single 24-yard reception on six targets in Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: After hitting triple digits in receiving yardage in Week 13, he had a backslide. It wasn't all Mitchell's fault, as the Jets saw veteran Tyrod Taylor knocked out early due to a groin injury, so undrafted rookie third-string QB Brady Cook was thrust into action. It didn't go well. Mitchell has some upside, but he should be treated as nothing more than a WR4 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 15, perhaps lower if Taylor cannot go, and Justin Fields cannot return, leaving Cook to start.

New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell was good for eight receptions for 102 yards and his first NFL touchdown on 12 targets in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Mitchell is going to be a popular addition off of the waiver wire heading into Week 14. His previous career high was 96 yards back in Week 4 as a member of the Indianapolis Colts, and he should have had his first NFL TD then, too, but he let go of the ball just before reaching the goal line, landing in Shane Steichen's doghouse. He has a new team now, and he could be a surprise fantasy help down the stretch if he keeps up this type of production. Still, treat him as a WR5 with upside heading into Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins.

New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell caught two passes for 42 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Huddle Up: Mitchell has been targeted 13 times in two games since joining the Jets and appears to be an important part of the team's passing game. He has only caught three of his 13 targets in the two games but should still see a similar workload in Week 13. He should probably be avoided in leagues until he can be a more consistent receiver for the team.

New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell was targeted a team-high six times against the New England Patriots in Week 11, resulting in one reception for 10 yards.
Huddle Up: To be clear, Mitchell did not play well on Thursday night. Justin Fields had his best throw of the game on a deep shot to Mitchell that went right through the receiver's hands, and he dropped another one on a crossing route later in the game. Despite that, it was encouraging to see the Jets turn to the recently acquired wideout so often in the absence of Garrett Wilson (knee). It makes sense for New York to take a long look at Mitchell, who was a second-round pick just one year ago, and it's something those in deeper leagues should take note of. In fact, if you're desperate for receiving help or have a roster spot available, you might consider rolling the dice on Mitchell as a speculative addition. For those in standard formats, you're safe to take a wait-and-see approach.

New York Jets WR Allen Lazard and WR Adonai Mitchell have been declared inactive for the Week 10 game.
Huddle Up: Garrett Wilson, Tyler Johnson and John Metchie will likely be the main receivers for the Jets this week. Fantasy players should only consider Wilson as a starting fantasy option.

The New York Jets had not planned to move CB Sauce Gardner prior to the NFL trade deadline Tuesday, Nov. 4, but found the Indianapolis Colts' offer of WR Adonai Mitchell and two first-round draft picks to be too tempting to turn down, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Cleveland Browns had a deal in place with the Indianapolis Colts for WR Adonai Mitchell before Mitchell was included in the trade with the New York Jets for CB Sauce Gardner.

Indianapolis Colts WR Adonai Mitchell was included in the deal that had the team sending two first round picks to the New York Jets for Sauce Gardner.
Huddle Up: Mitchell fell out of favor with the Colts' offense, but he gets a fresh start in New York. His fantasy value will be determined over the next two weeks so don't install him in your lineups yet.

Indianapolis Colts WR Adonai Mitchell and TE Drew Ogletree each were targeted once in Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans, but both went without a reception.
