The Chicago Bears agreed to a four-year, $16 million contract extension with PK Cairo Santos Saturday, Dec. 23. The deal includes $9.5 million of guaranteed money.

Chicago Bears PK Cairo Santos (personal) has been ruled out for Week 4's game against the New York Giants because of a personal issue. PK Michael Badgley, who was recently signed to the practice squad and then elevated to the active roster, will serve as the team's kicker.
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners who have Santos on their roster should be able to find more reliable kicking options on the waiver wire.

LB Matthew Adams (hamstring) was upgraded to a limited practice on Friday but is also listed as doubtful. PK Cairo Santos (personal) did not practice for a second straight day on Friday and is listed as questionable. DE Robert Quinn (illness) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. WR Velus Jones (hamstring), LB Roquan Smith (quad) and LB Sterling Weatherford (ankle) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.
