Houston Texans LB Ron'Dell Carter was signed from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad Tuesday, Dec. 21. DT Jaleel Johnson was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. LB Josh Watson (Broncos) was signed to the practice squad with a COVID-19 exemption designation. DT Xavier Williams (Cardinals) was signed to the active roster.

Los Angeles Rams RBs Darrell Henderson, Raymond Calais, Xavier Williams and Jake Funk each figure to get a long look in camp, based on comments from head coach Sean McVay following the season-ending injury to Cam Akers (Achilles) recently.
'I don't know that veteran route is something we'll rule out, but it's not something we're looking at right now,' McVay said.

Huddle Up: McVay's comments hardly rule out the possibility of a veteran acquisition in August or September, but they do suggest the Rams like their depth on paper for now. The other issue is there is a lack of realistic options to replace Akers in free agency. Should Los Angeles go the veteran route, two of the more likely possibilities are signing Adrian Peterson or trading a Day 3 pick for Melvin Gordon. Until another move is made, Henderson can be considered a quality RB2 option in fantasy.

Cincinnati Bengals DT Xavier Williams and DE Amani Bledsoe moved into the starting lineup in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. Williams was just signed last week, while Bledsoe started the season on the practice squad. Williams played 34 defensive snaps, while Bledsoe came on for 29 plays.
