Tennessee Titans TE Austin Hooper "has already surfaced as one of (Ryan) Tannehill's preferred options in the passing game," according to ESPN.com's Turron Davenport.
Huddle Up: With A.J. Brown gone and rookie Treylon Burks battling asthma issues, Hooper's involvement in summer practices was probably a foregone conclusion. Nevertheless, Tennessee has not shied away from leaning on its tight ends during the Mike Vrabel era when it has had one capable of being a threat. Hooper probably needs to be viewed as a draftable tight end in fantasy with low-end TE1 upside.

Tennessee Titans TE Austin Hooper said he plans to take part in all of the workouts this offseason.
Huddle Up: Hooper likely will be the starting tight end for the Titans this upcoming season and is trying to have a better understanding of the offense. He will see a handful of targets each game but likely will be a No. 2 fantasy TE in most leagues.

Free-agent TE Austin Hooper (Browns) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans Friday, March 18, worth $6 million, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Hooper should take over the starting tight end job for the Titans and will see a handful of targets each game. He probably should be considered a No. 2 fantasy tight end since the Titans have a strong running game.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper was released Thursday, March 17.
Huddle Up: The Browns will move forward with David Njoku and Harrison Bryant. While the two will likely hurt each other's consistency for fantasy purposes, Cleveland relies heavily enough on the position that both players should be on the TE2 radar. Hooper would make sense for a tight end-needy team such as the Tennessee Titans, who could potentially allow him to flirt with occasional low-end TE1 production.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper is expected to be released with a post-June 1 designation, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler via a source.
Huddle Up: The Browns had planned on keeping Hooper along with David Njoku and Harrison Bryant, but the addition of Amari Cooper and Cleveland's pursuit of Deshaun Watson forced the team's hand. With Hooper no longer around, Njoku's franchise tag designation makes more sense. Hooper should not have much problem finding his next team, although his landing spot will determine if he is a fantasy TE1 like he was for the Atlanta Falcons a few years ago or a TE2 like he was during his time with the Browns.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper ended up with two receptions for 28 yards on five targets in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: The other two tight ends, David Njoku and Harrison Bryant, had touchdowns, but Hooper had the most targets of the trio. He remains more of a low-end TE2 heading into Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper generated 26 yards on three catches at the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 on Saturday, Dec. 25. He was targeted five times.
Huddle Up: In the Week 8 meeting in Cleveland, Hooper posted a 4-26-0 line vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he has no utility in the Monday Night Football road tilt this upcoming week.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Dec. 22.
Huddle Up: Hooper had a 5-30-1 line in his last game, and he'll be a low-end option in fantasy.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper (illness) was not activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list in time for Week 15.
Huddle Up: With Hooper out, David Njoku is in line to be the primary tight end catching passes from ... checks notes ... Nick Mullens. Good luck with this one if you were brave enough to take a flier on Njoku, but there's some appeal given the matchup. Mullens has flashed a time or two while with the San Francisco 49ers.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper finished with five receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: Hooper took advantage of the fact Harrison Bryant and David Njoku were both inactive, so he had the run of all of the tight end targets. If the same situation applies in Week 15 against the Raiders, he is worth a look as a TE2 in leagues of 12 or more teams.
