Free-agent RB J.D. McKissic, who initially agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $7 million on Tuesday, March 15, will instead sign a similar contract to return to the Washington Commanders.
Huddle Up: This news comes as a blow to Antonio Gibson's dynasty managers. McKissic has emerged as a reliable weapon in the passing game since arriving in the nation's capital, which has allowed him to carve out some decent value while also limiting Gibson's upside. The 28-year-old was less involved as a receiver in 2021 than he was in 2020 as Gibson began to take on more work, but the team values his contributions enough in that area for fantasy managers to view him as a RB4/5 with some handcuff appeal.

Huddle Up: McKissic is a good receiver, evidenced by his 43-397-2 line through the air last year. He could push or ultimately replace Devin Singletary in the backfield. Watch this situation as McKissic is a RB3 for now in PPR.
