New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara was not present at OTAs on Thursday, May 28.
Huddle Up: Kamara has been the center of trade rumors for months now, and the team signing Travis Etienne has only exacerbated that. Kamara's fantasy value is hard to gauge with the Saints, but as of now, he is a flex option.

New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis is non-committal about Saints RB Alvin Kamara and his fit on the roster in 2026, according to a source on Monday, May 18.
Huddle Up: Kamara took a big step back in 2025, playing the fewest games of his career with career lows in every meaningful rushing and receiving statistic. While Kamara has made it known that he wants to stay in New Orleans for the duration of his career, the Saints can create $8.5 million in cap space with a post-June 1 cut. His age (30), plus declining skillset and production, make him a dubious fantasy asset, whether he plays in New Orleans or elsewhere in 2026. With Travis Etienne Jr. now in tow for the Saints, it makes the fantasy value of Kamara in New Orleans even more bleak.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara said he's excited to see what he and RB Travis Etienne can do together.
Huddle Up: Kamara, 31 in July, averaged a career-low 3.6 yards per carry last season. The team was bad, and he's aging, but a diminished role could be a good thing for him. He hasn't played 16 games since his rookie season and still possesses PPR upside. You'll probably want to handcuff him to Etienne, but Kamara will be a good RB3 in PPR formats.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara's status on the roster may be impacted by what the team does at the position during the 2026 NFL Draft, according to general manager Mickey Loomis.
Huddle Up: The Saints added Travis Etienne this offseason, so Kamara will likely receive a smaller role in the offense if he remains with the Saints. He should have interest from teams if he becomes available but may not be a starter for a team at this point. He can be rostered in leagues next season but may not be a starting option most weeks.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara and RB Travis Etienne will both be put in "plenty of situations" to succeed in 2026, according to head coach Kellen Moore. "Obviously we feel fortunate that we were able to acquire Travis in free agency, but there's still a lot of work to be had out there," Moore said.
Huddle Up: Etienne will presumably take over as the lead back for the Saints, and he should at least deliver solid RB2 production with the potential for more. Kamara battled injuries and saw his production decline last season, but he could still have a role on passing downs. Best-case scenario, Kamara remains a viable flex option in PPR formats.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara is expected to be back as the team plans on him being on the team in 2026. Head coach Kellen Moore said he thinks Kamara and RB Travis Etienne will fit well together.
Huddle Up: Kamara turns 31 in July, and Etienne should see a lot of the work in the backfield. Kamara will still be an RB3 asset in PPR leagues as he should be in on passing downs often, but his days as an RB1 or RB2 are likely behind him. He rushed for 471 yards and had 33 catches in 11 games last season.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara has agreed to restructure his contract and will be saving the team $8 million in salary cap space, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Huddle Up: It appears like Kamara will remain with the team for next season, but he may have to share playing time with Devin Neal. Fantasy players can monitor the situation because Kamara can still be a possible No. 3 running back in some leagues.
